They are all in my amazon cart and I am trying to find another book to read. I specifically want info on these books.

I just read "Me Before You" a couple of weeks ago. It was a very interesting story and well written. I actually learned a lot as well. (I don't want to detail too much and give you spoilers.) I definitely recommend it.
ETA: I also read "The Language of Flowers". It's been a while so I don't remember all the details, but I do remember thinking it was a good story and enjoying it.

I listened to the audiobook of The Goldfinch. I liked it, but I don't know if I would have been able to stick with it in print. It's very long and kind of rambles. It's basically this guy telling the story of his life. All the interesting stuff takes place at the beginning, when he's a kid in New York. It goes downhill once he reaches his teens. It's kind of depressing too.
I read The Language of Flowers in print. It's a fairly quick read. It's well plotted and the main character is interesting. I would recommend reading that before The Goldfinch.
I didn't even get halfway through Outlander (the first book). It's just not my cup of tea.

I read The Goldfinch, parts of it I loved but some of it fell very flat for me. I was very torn about how I felt about it afterwards.
I've tried to read Outlander and couldn't get into it. I keep saying I'm going to try it again but I haven't.

I loved Me Before You and highly recommend it!
I thought The Goldfinch was just ok. I know others that loved it. I found it to be a bit wordy and enjoyed the first half of the book way more than the second half.
I have read the first four in The Outlander series and really enjoyed them. However, I would stop after the first three books. They are super long but quick reads. I would definitely pick them up.

A friend of mine has read all the Outlander books and really likes them. She was trying to sell me on them and they sound interesting but I wanted some other opinions first. I will try the first one before I get any of the others. Sounds like I need to go with The Language of Flowers.

Me Before You - really disliked it. I'm definitely in a minority, but I thought it was predictable, cliched and not well written. The Shoemaker's Wife Girl in Translation The Goldfinch - liked it a lot. It drags at times, but I found it a compelling read. The Language of Flowers The Outlander Series - not a fan. Read the first; didn't feel the need to read the rest.

If you try the Outlander series and LIKE it, you'll have WEEKS and WEEKS of reading ahead of you. I love getting into a series where I like the characters and know I'll get to read about them for a good length of time.
The characters are strong, and likeable. Gabaldon is an intelligent, creative writer with a sense of humor that I enjoy. If she gets into lengthy descriptions of landscape or something I don't care about, I skim. That's right-- I'm a SKIMMER!
I think some of her lengthy passages are what many 'tried them, didn't like them' readers found annoying. My mom though, doesn't skim, and loves this writer. Even if she's describing the Scotland countryside, she's doing it beautifully. No one says she's not an excellent writer, that I know of.

Sharla- I know! I am a slow reader (generally only read when I am at the gym) so it would probably take me a year to get through them!
If a book is really interesting and I can't put it down, I will read it quickly but I haven't found a book like that in years!

The Shoemaker's Wife Girl in Translation The Outlander Series Loved The Shoemaker's Wife and Girl in Translation. I've read 5 1/2 of the Outlander books. I stopped about halfway through The Fiery Cross because I needed a break. They are good but it took me awhile to get into it. eta: My break from the Outlander series was not due to the books themselves. I hope to get back to them soon. I started back to school and in my so called spare time I wanted light reads.

Me Before You - I liked it. The Shoemaker's Wife - Haven't read it, but I have read a couple of other books by the author; I thought they were just okay, I wouldn't seek out her books. Girl in Translation - I liked it. The Goldfinch - I liked it, but it did take me forever to read - I thought parts of it really bogged down. The Language of Flowers The Outlander Series - I read the first five in the series. I got rather burned out on them, but plan to read the rest someday.

I enjoyed Me Before You. I'm currently reading The Goldfinch, but got to a place where I'm bored and went on to another book. I intend to finish it, it's just very long and drags in parts. Outlander is quite entertaining, I've only read the first one but keep meaning to read the rest. There's just so many good books and so little time I LOVED Girl in Translation!

I've read the Shoemakers Wife, it was ok, but quite frankly I couldn't tell you anything about it now, just that it was interesting enough to finish. I would try and get that from a library rather than buying it.
I loved Me Before You.
I also really enjoyed the Language of Flowers. Engaging characters and well written.

The shoemakers wife was kind of blah and predictable, I gave it a 2 out of 5 on good reads
I haven't read the others on your list.

I just read Me Before You last month - I loved it! I put the author's other two books on hold at the library right away, and just started One Plus One yesterday - I'm liking it, too. I also recommend The Language of Flowers.

I loved The Goldfinch, it was my #1 read last year, also really liked Donna Tartt's The Secret History. Me Before You, though predictable, was quite enjoyable.
Read Outlander years ago and liked the first two. May need to do a reread, there are more sequels available now, and as a pp said, if you like the first one, you've got a lot of good reading ahead!

The only one I have read is The Goldfinch.
I thought it was amazing. It could have benefited from further editing and cutting about 100 pages, but I still loved it.
