I've read all of them except Girl in Translation and Goldfinch. I'm up to the 5th novel of Outlander. If you like historical fiction, you will like Outlander and The Shoemaker's Wife. I liked all of them. Out of the Outlander series, I think so far my favorite has been the second book.

Another huge Outlander series fan. If you are a romantic at heart I can't imagine you not enjoying these books. I'm counting down the days until the first season of Outlander debuts in August on Starz.

Of the books you listed I read The Goldfinch, Me Before You, and The Language of Flowers. I also listened to the first book in the Outlander series and started listening to the second book. I just had to stop. I don't know--I couldn't take it anymore. They kind of read like bodice rippers to me and that's just not my thing. I know many people that love them though.
None of the books listed are my favorites, but I did enjoy Me Before You and Language of Flowers. I am looking to read more of JoJo Moyes, so I liked it enough to pursue her as an author. That one is probably my favorite of those that you listed. The Goldfinch, that's a tough one. I was super excited to read it based on the buzz I'd heard but I just didn't love it. At times I felt like I was really plodding through it. I like it when I have a book that I can't wait to cozy into my bed at night and dig into. I never felt that way about this book. It was interesting at times but just didn't resonate with me. I'm not sure how to describe it. The last half of it just got really weird IMO. If you read it, I'll be interested to read what you think.

Goldfinch is REALLY long! I have not read it but heard its good. I considered it for my next book club choice but didn't choose it due to length. I did enjoy The Language of Flowers.

Me Before You - I read this one and really enjoyed it. Girl in Translation - on my list to read The Goldfinch - on my list to read The Outlander Series - I've read the first three or four books. I'm a fan of historical fiction. Add in a little fantasy and I'm very happy. I do plan to read the rest of the series at some point.

Me Before You is one of the best books I've ever read, and I read a lot of books... around 150/year. I've tried 3 times to get through the Outlander series, and I always fizzle out partway through The Fiery Cross. It's a shame, because I do like the first book, and the hero is one of my all-time favorites. I think this is the only series in my life that I haven't been able to finish, which means I had an easier time reading Twilight and 50 Shades of Grey than I did the Outlander series.

I have a friend who is a HUGE fan of the Outlander books. So I tried the first one and just could not get into it. Maybe I'll have to give it another try.

I have all of these on my To Read list, except the Outlander series. I have read all of those, but the last one and I really like them.

My take on the OUTLANDER series...I had to be coerced into reading it...I really figured it was SO not my cuppa tea, but I took the first one on vacation overseas, where I'd have NO choice but to read it, and REALLY loved it. The second one still kept my interest, but by the third book, I was getting bored. I have friends who love each and every book in the series, but I believe it is my attention span that ruins the remainder for me. I got that way with Hunger Games, Twilight, etc. By book three in any series, I get bored with the setting, the characters, the writing style, etc. LOL But, DO read the first and continue the series if you like it..draw your own conclusions on the remainder of the series.

I am in the mystery books. I love the Ann Perry series. I just started one of her new ones A Sunless Sea. I hope to read a few others now that I have a kindle. I was having a hard time finding them at the library.

I haven't been able to finish The Goldfinch. It drags on. I want to finish it and will probably try again once I finish my current book. I think it would be easier to listen to.
I liked The Shoemaker's Wife, it was an easy read.

I can't recommend The Goldfinch. Way way too long and drawn out. Also, I didn't like any if the characters.i haven't read any of the other books. Let us know what you pick

Me Before You - thought it was going to be awesome from all the reviews but I found it just good. The Shoemaker's Wife - haven't read. Girl in Translation - half way through and really enjoying it. The Goldfinch - starts off strong, fades in the middle, ok ending. Waaaay too long. The Language of Flowers - haven't read. The Outlander Series - not my typical genre, historical romance with a touch of time travel, but the history and stories are so well told and the main characters are strong and believable. I am reading the latest now.
