I've been wanting it for awhile, but dh and I could not agree on colors (he wants bland, blah colors that "go with the house" and I want pretty, happy colors that make me not hate doing the dishes), so we've stuck with our 16yo correlle ivy dishes. For my birthday I asked for Fiestaware (along with other stuff, but he didn't like my other suggestions either ) so he's backed down and said he'll survive with whatever I want (though I won't be surprised if he changed his mind, why on earth he cares about dishes is beyond me). Anyhow, seeing as my birthday was yesterday, I'm getting ready to order what I want. I need y'all to tell me what I want Sets or individual pieces? If it matters I have a 13yo ds and dh who are big eaters (seriously, it's not uncommon to see salads eaten from large tupperware containers). Colors? Like I said I want happy colors. If it matters my house is a 100yo arts/crafts style with lots of natural (med-dark) woodwork. The kitchen is pale yellow and in desperate need of a makeover, the dining room is extremely neutral, tan, natural wood, etc. I'll probably start with 4-6 placesettings and add on later.

I have a yellow kitchen with blue trim...kind of swedish looking. I got sets of dishes in lapis...and really like them. I am not a mix and match person...and I like having dishes of one color. just saying...

My kitchen is black and white and I have all different colors of Fiesta. I started with 6 4-piece place settings. I have added 6 more plates, some gusto (deep bowls that dh likes) and some really small bowls that I use for salsa or a snack servings of nuts or whatever. I didn't buy more place settings because I really didn't want any more coffee mugs.

I get the 5 pc. settings and I have about 8 different colors, duplicates of a few, I think I have 10-11 place settings so far. I don't like the bowls that come with the 5 piece place settings, they're an odd size and they stack oddly within each other.

I have the 4 piece place settings. I have lemongrass, lapis, scarlet, sunflower, shamrock, cobalt, taprica, peacock and marigold. I have lapis, lemongrass, taprica and scarlet serving pieces. It is a mixture of colors, but, it works because I like to set a Seasonal table. For example, in January I use cobalt, lapis and lemongrass; February is scarlet; July is cobalt, lapis and scarlet; Fall is sunflower, marigold and taprica; Spring is lemongrass, peacock, and sunflower; Christmas is scarlet and shamrock. It is fun!

I have a very neutral home but I LOVE having different colors of the Fiesta Ware. I have lapis, peacock, cobalt, tangerine and sunflower. I want more and will get it eventually. I don't know why I need more, because there are only 3 of us, but I just think it is so pretty.

I would probably just buy one or two place settings of the colors you want and then buy separates. I have 14 place settings of 4 and I finally had to pack away 1/2 of the mugs and some of the small bowls that come with set. I just didn't have the need or storage room for all of those mugs and bowls that don't get used that often. Now I just buy a couple of plates in the colors I want and typically one gusto bowl of the color and one of the large bowls which we use for pasta.

If I were just starting to buy my Fiestaware, I would pick out my two favorite colors and focus on getting at least two sets of each and then go from there. I have mine divided up in different colors to use for different seasons. Some I use for more than one season. I did buy some sets of Phaltzgraff Floral Medallion at Belk the other day to use for the summer and am currently using it with Ivory, Scarlett, Turquoise, Lapis, Sunflower and Lemongrass. For Fall, I will use Sunflower, Marigold, Evergreen, Chocolate. For Winter, Scarlett, Ivory, Shamrock and Evergreen. For Spring-Lapis, Lemongrass, Sunflower and Ivory. During Fall and Christmas, I have some patterned pieces that I use with the Fiestaware. There a lot of patterned dishes that can be mixed with the Fiestaware. Here are some other pieces of Fiestaware that I really like: Rimmed Soup Bowls-Great for Salads Luncheon Plate-For Smaller Servings Small Platter-Sandwiches & Chips, Vegtables & Dip Jumbo Cup-Coffee, Soup or Chili

I have cobalt, peacock, paprika and lemongrass place settings. Then I have various serving pieces in the same colors. I think my rimmed soup bowls get used most often for salads, pasta, soup, chicken and dumplings, etc.
I recently added a few dinner plates in marigold and plan to get some in plum, too. I'll also get a serving bowl or platter with those colors, too.

I like buying them separately because I do not like the size of the coffee cup that comes in the sets. I also find Macy's has sales for buy one get one free on individual pieces. I have 6 colors (2 each) for my colors. brown, 2 blues, yellow, green, orange. I have a few serving pieces with red too. Have fun. I have had them for 2 years now and they still look great

My kitchen is neutral colors (too neutral... I want to do a makeover, but that's a whole 'nother post!) so I just picked whatever color I liked (cobalt). I think cobalt would look nice in a yellow kitchen like yours, but honestly, you should buy whatever color(s) you like and that make you happy. Fiestaware is awesome! I recommend it to ALL my friends buying dishes! I hope you like whatever color you decide on!

I buy the 4-place settings in every color! I love most all of the colors, & I like how happy all the colors look together. I just recently purchased a glass cabinet to display them in all their rainbow glory! My kids usually give me a place setting for my birthday. I currently have 10 place settings & would like to get up to 20. I really want a pitcher & some of their large serving bowls.

I don't have any Fiestaware (yet!), but there are 5 of us and I always thought it would be fun to let each family member pick a different color.

I just started my collection last Christmas. I finally got my DH to agree. He wanted to go with all blues, but I wanted a mix. We settled on Cobalt, Peacock, Lemongrass, & Sunflower. I did the 4pc place setting because I liked the mugs vs a cup & saucer. I did 2 ea of cobalt & peacock, 1 of lemongrass. Then added individual pieces of more Lemongrass & sunflower. I love the luncheon plates, I added those also. It's a great start!

I have 12 place settings in all different colors. I bought the 4 piece place settings because I like the mugs as opposed to the cups and saucers. I just love my fiestaware. I am hoping once I get my own house, I can hang my mugs up on hooks or something so everyone can see the pretty colors. I also have two serving platters, four of the gusto bowls, and four of the bigger bowls which are perfect for meal size salads or pasta. I just recently got a set in the new color, poppy, and I love it.

I have a mixture. Dinner sets in cobalt, shamrock, marigold, lemon grass, black, plum, peacock and scarlet. BIL picked up two more for me - tangerine and turquoise. I have four each, in a mixture of colours, of the gusto bowls, fruit nappies, as well as some serving dishes.
Love it! I do think I need to get a poppy plate though - no more sets. I have enough of the smaller bowls and too many of the cups.
My favourite of the ones I have is sunflowers. But I'm pretty sure I'll love poppy even more, lol

We have 4 of the 4 piece place settings. Each setting is a different color and each family member has their own color. We have lapis, scarlet, tangerine and shamrock. Every person is responsible for keeping their color clean. It is working really well.

I have 12 of the 4 piece place settings in all different colors. (I have 2 scarlet sets and everything else is unique colors.) I've also picked up individual plates of retired colors when I see them. The bad thing about the sets is that the mugs are too small for my Keurig on the biggest setting I use. So, I use old Longerberger mugs for my coffee. The mugs from the sets get used for hot cocoa and tea.
I have 6 luncheon plates from Kohls. I find these are a great size for the kids and we use them a bunch.
I have 8-10 of the small fruit bowls. These are great for applesauce, kid snacks, salsa.
I recently added 4 gusto bowls and they are AWESOME. You can dump a can of soup in them and they fit great.
If I had it to do over, I would probably buy mostly open stock and get the bigger mugs.
I love seeing all the colors in the dishwasher or in the cabinet.

I have about a dozen of the 5 piece sets. We use everything but the mugs. Now, I only buy pieces, but to start, the sets are a good way to stock up. Mix and match - lots of gorgeous colors - have you seen the new poppy? very happy! I like having many colors because it doesn't matter which ones I grab when setting the table. I would never get black...or brown. I think those are icky to eat off of (just my personal taste). Welcome to Fiesta world! - You will have fun

I get the 5pc place settings, but honsetly we never use the smaller saucer plate. I'm not a coffee drinker. We use the coffee cups for soups, dips, and desserts. I always buy at least two settings of each color. I have lapis, scarlet, tangerine, paprika, sunflower, shamrock, turquoise, and 6 settings of lemongrass.

I love the 5 piece setting. I have 9 sets so far. 3 cobalt, 2 scarlet, 2 lapis, and 2 turquoise. I also have 4 fruit bowls, one of each color, 2 extra large bowls in peacock and scarlet for serving, a large oval serving platter in peacock, a happy pumpkin plate, individual casserole dish in scarlet, and cobalt large pittcher.
I still want a gravy boat, another serving plate and the small teapot to serve hot maple syrup in.

I joined the Fiesta craze last spring. I don't use cups of any kind so I chose to get individual pieces. I went whole hog and bought service for eight. I got 4 different size plates, 3 different size bowls, the gravy boat, 3 platters, the bread tray, the napkin dish, the pie plate, a casserole dish, the 9inch square dish, 2 covered butter dishes, 5 different serving bowls, the mixing bowl set and a pitcher. I chose black, plum, lemongrass and turquoise. I It!!

I bought individual pieces/open stock from Macys, Kohls, Amazon and Carsons. Never ever pay full price. My mom has used fiesta forever and I registered when I got married. I have almost all colors, and love to switch them out for the seasons. (Fall = chocolate, tangerine, paprika, marigold, ivory) (Christmas = scarlet, lemongrass, shamrock and white) Also remember that certain stores carry exclusives. The rice bowls from Dillards are my favorite, for cereal, soup etc. Pasta bowls from Macys are my go to for a nice big salad. The buffet plates from Kohls are similiar to the luncheon plates but I like them better and have bought several of those in additional colors.

I just started mine collection this year. I started with 4 place settings - red, tangerine, lemon grass and turquoise and then added the light green and bright blue. I told my kids it makes me happy to open the cupboard and see a rainbow. We don't use the mugs a ton, but we use the big plates, little plates and bowls all the time.
