We're in the process of a major bathroom renovation. The builder who is project managing the whole thing said 3 weeks. Friends who've done it before laughed, and to be honest even I thought it would more like 5 weeks.
So we're now in week 7. Normally I'd just go with the flow, but we only had one bathroom so for almost 7 weeks my shower has consisted of a large tub on the floor in the laundry, with a rubber hose attachment for the taps. Charming I know, but it's worked... kinda.
Anyway, today I flipped my lid. The shower screen was to be installed, which means I would be only 24hrs away from a REAL shower. I was diagnosed with glandular fever 5 days ago and feel so icky and am craving a long hot shower. So naturally, the guy doesn't turn up. Normally I would have taken a day off work to be home, but as I'm sick I was home anyway - but the shower guy doesn't know that. So I sent a really really vent-y SMS to DH, calling the shower guy an ass, and that I was sick of his laziness and being lied to etc etc.
Yeah. You know what's coming. I sent it to the shower guy by mistake!!!! I had just sent him one to reschedule for tomorrow, and didn't realise I still had that SMS window open.
OMG I am NOT looking forward to seeing him tomorrow! How would you handle that? Just pretend it never happened and hope he doesn't mention it?
*** UPDATE (the next day)
Thanks for the advice ladies
So he turned up and although I know for a fact he had to have seen that text, he didn't say a word about it. So I kept my mouth shut too, lol! I'd decided if he said anything I would take the "sorry but that was meant for my DH, I'm sick, this has taken forever, etc" route, but as he never mentioned it I let it go. I half expected a bit of a snotty attitude, but that wasn't apparent either. Phew!
But I will definitely be checking twice before sending any text to my friends / DH that I'm sending it to the right person from now on
