I figured since it is on the last part of the season/series we might as well have a continuous thread. After last night's episode I've decided I almost liked it before Alicia and Jason got together. I liked the sexual tension between them but now it's just gotten a tad mundane to me. Her giving him a hand job in the restaurant just rubbed me the wrong way <pun not intended but it showed up anyway> I can't tell what is going to happen with the grand jury ~ some of us think he will end up in prison so the show will have gone full circle. I really hate the story line with Diane and Alicia. I like Cary and it ticks me off. Lastly, the story with the young woman being shot by a stray bullet and calling for her dad broke my heart. I am hoping that our friend whose daughter was killed on the pier in San Francisco last July was not watching the show. I can't imagine how painful it would have been for her and her husband.

I like Jason and Alicia and I think it makes sense. They have good chemistry and frankly, Alicia is not in a position to be in a real relationship and I think it's time they finally acknowledged that. That doesn't mean some companionship and sex wouldn't do her good, though, so I'm on board with those two. The preview from last night where Peter said "I need you to stand by me" - definitely also gave me a feeling of the going full circle, though I think the end would be him in jail and her FINALLY leaving him. I also hate the Cary storyline. I like Cary and am EXHAUSTED with the law firm musical chairs. And yes, that storyline last night was awful. We were watching the open and as the daughter was leaving for prom, DH said, "This is a weird open. What's the lawsuit going to be?" And then the shot... and (giving up private secrets here ) DH started crying instantly. He was so upset by that. ETA: We were laughing hysterically at the hand job scene because literally the night before we were out with friends and the EXACT same thing was going on in the booth next to us. Except they were even less subtle.

Did anyone else but me think that the last scene where they are in the booth getting cozy was probably caught on film or video by someone? I bet that comes back in a big way before the end of the show.

Bless your DH's heart. I knew immediately as the scenes progressed that she was going to die. I loved Blair Underwood on L A Law back in the day.

Then there was that scene and I figured that can't happen because this scene IS coming back to haunt her. Lol there's pictures/video somewhere

Lol there's pictures/video somewhere Every scene with those 2 I just keep thinking that they aren't being discrete enough...then this one?! Well, no discretion at all..its all out there for anyone to see, film or video...oh, and post for the world to see.

I hate that Cary is going to get screwed again. I really like Luca. Maybe those two will hook up. And I'm with you cadoodlebug the under the table action was too much.

What's going to happen when Luca comes back from getting her chips or whatever she got up for and finds Jason hasn't quite finished yet?
I am ready for this series to be over. It's obvious they are going with the full circle plot.
I agree that this musical law chair game got old a few season ago. I will be ticked if Alicia screws over Cary. But didn't he screw her over last season.
The shooting was so sad. Jen

I guess I must have given Alicia too much credit in the past because if last night showed everyone her true colors... oh my! She outright lied to Cary's face. Then the restaurant scene with Jason. Come on! She's still the governor's wife, for pete's sake. She's got to know that wherever she goes all eyes are going to be on her. What in the world was she thinking! Didn't like this turn of events at all. And, I agree with everyone here. The show is soon going to be back where it started. Maybe this time Peter will sue Alicia for divorce because of her infidelity!

Does anyone else remember 3 or 4 episodes back where Alicia and Jason were in the office after hours and they first kissed (I think) on the sofa? Did anyone else see a camera on a tripod set up in an adjacent office filming them or was that my imagination?

I'm hoping Luca and Cary will somehow end up with control of the firm or start their own. Somehow the Jackie & Howard storyline will come into it. Maybe Alicia leaves Peter, so Jackie blocks her from the firm or something like that. I agree with you Sue, she is still the Governor's wife and I thought their understanding included keeping up an appearance of decorum. I half expected the camera to pan out to Mr. Glee Teacher running the Grand Jury sitting at the bar recording them with his iPhone. After missing the fact that Alicia/Kalinda filmed their side-by-side bar scene separately last year, I paid close attention to the bar scene with Diane and would bet it was filmed separately, too. They were never in the same shot together unless it was a sliver of back of the head/shoulder of one and full face of the other. We still have the crooked judge, the hacking of the election machines, the FBI investigation and NSA phone tapping storylines that I hope are resolved.

Oh, wait, I guess she and Peter had sex once or twice too. Other than that, it's been a giant dry spell between Will and Jason.

I'm glad she's finally enjoying herself and not caring who sees!
If they end the show with her staying with Peter, I'm going to scream!!!

He asked if Diane approached her about an all-female firm. Diane specifically said an a firm where all the PARTNERS were female, and even repeated that wording to Alicia to correct her and point out that difference. I know to you and I that may be splitting hairs, but specific wording is what these people do for a living. I think Alicia is keeping her cards close to the chest. She was actually telling the truth but omitting the rest of the story. I don't blame her for weighing her options very carefully. She hasn't always been treated in the most completely honest fashion and she really does have to look out for number one. She's no dummy in that regard.

Wow, when Peter walked in on Jason DH, DS and I all yelled OHHHHHH NOOOOOO! It was hilarious. When he knocked the coffee cup out of his hand we all . We were happy she asked him for a divorce. Do you think she will honor his request to keep it quiet while he is on trial? I am so bummed about Cary. He is one of my favorite people on the show and if he is leaving now, I'll be mad. David Lee is an ass and Howard Lyman is just ick. The thing with the drone went on too long. I remember the blond but don't remember why she left the firm. What am I forgetting.

Why do we do these threads that are brought back each week? I hate going to the bottom of the thread the scrolling back up reading the posts backwards until I get to last weeks posts. I am one of the least-techy peas and I don't know all the features of the board or which ones work with desktops vs mobile versions etc etc. If, however, you can see the green "new" buttons on the left of the thread title, those scroll you to where you left off reading. Apologies if this is redundant.
