I'm going to make a new recipe tonight, PW's bean with bacon soup. I think it'll be a hit, but we shall see tonight.
What's on your menu?
Have a great Wednesday everyone. Enjoy your lunch, too.

I am thinking Subway. I may try the egg salad. Any one tried it yet? Did you like it?

I'm trying a new recipe today. I put a boneless pork roast in the crockpot with onions, carrots, green apples, and a sprig of rosemary.
For some reason I'm not able to link to the recipe today. Arg. You can google it, "Slow Cooker Pork Roast with Apples, Carrots, and Rosemary" on www.everydaygoodthinking.com

Ugh! I posted on the vent thread yesterday that I have what is probably a UTI and I'm feeling miserable I'm going to the doctor today so hopefully I have some relief soon ... Anyway, I will make either beef soft tacos or homemade chicken noodle soup ... depends on my mood when I get to the grocery store

On my own tonight so I think dinner will be bacon, eggs and grilled tomatoes with some fresh crusty bread. Also got a couple of pork sausage to use up so may add those. In the fridge on its lonesome is an individual chocolate mouse and mini egg dessert, usually used just for packed lunches, so I may just have to have that afterwards.

I made a couple loaves of homemade Italian bread over the weekend. Today would've been my dad's 60th birthday, so I'm making his famous "Stuffed Italian Sandwich" for dinner tonight.

Late pre-op appointment for me so dh is on dinner duty. He's making Chinese chicken and oyster mushrooms with steamed rice. I can't remember what CSA veggies I ordered this week, but hopefully there's something that will go with the chicken.

Still following DH'S BRAT diet ahead of his surgery. I'm too lazy to make my own non-BRAT meal, so I'm eating with DH. So, rice for him and applesauce and toast for me.

leannec I hope you feel better quickly. We're having country style pork ribs baked with barbecue sauce and sweet potato. I hope dh cooks a veggie too! Whatever he does he's on my very good list today for going to the mall and dropping my engagement ring off to have a loose stone fixed!! I hate the mall and really didn't want to go myself.

DS has been asking me to make Chicken and Biscuit Casserole, one of his favorite dishes, so I will probably make that tonight. It's a meal all by itself, so nothing else on the side.

Tonight is our corned beef and cabbage night, plus potatoes and carrots. Only problem ... normally I boil it following the directions on the package. But this year I bought a different brand and the package says to bake. Well, I'm not going to bake, I'm going to boil. But I can't remember how long to boil it to make sure it's nice and falling-apart tender. Anyone know? It's a 3.5 lb brisket. If the peas can't help me, I guess I will just start it as soon as I get home this afternoon (meeting my mom for lunch) and boil until it seems right. Then I can reheat it at dinner time.

lucyg, Google says 50 minutes of boiling per pound. So about 3 hours for your brisket. We're having baked egg rolls and PW's garlic sesame noodles. Or is it sesame garlic noodles? Either way, it's got sesame and garlic in it.

We're having a turkey, broccoli, and rice casserole, steamed orange cauliflower, roasted green beans and radishes, apple slices (we are all so tired of apples, but I need to use up what I have), Italian bread, and peanut butter oatmeal cookies for dessert.

I took chicken out late Monday for dinner yesterday but dso was in "bargaining" and didn't get home til midnight so tonight it will be chicken, double baked potatoes and carrots with apple crumble for dessert.
We are expecting that big snowstorm later today so the apple crumble leftover will be a perfect snowy morning late breakfast.

- I googled it. Yummy. Leftover venison meatloaf on top of leftover sourdough rolls with leftover seasoned tomato sauce on top. And new Parmesan cheese all over it. Fork and knife on the side. Thanks for the thread.

Picked up frozen ravioli at my butcher/deli last week, so we'll be having that tonite w/leftover tomato sauce from last week (no, it hasn't been sitting in my fridge all week, I froze it, lol) and leftover 'Colby Sauce' from Monday. Four cheese for the boys (can I really still call them boys at 16 & 19?) and lobster for me. Yum!

Sadly, our drive-in plans were postponed for last night. The kids were being picky about the movies plus the weather got very windy - a bit strange for AZ. Disappointing. I got Sonic for the boys and then got myself chicken tacos from a little place right next door to Sonic. However, they were not very good. But I still have two I will likely eat for leftovers. Because I just hate wasting food. Neither child feels well today, so they both stayed home from school. They are asking for chicken noodle soup right now. I am not sure what else we will be eating beyond that. Lisa

I was supposed to have dinner with a friend tonight (we planned it over a month ago) but I called her and found out she is in another state for 2 weeks because her dad had a stroke
So....I'm not sure what I will have - I'll probably have something simple, like a BLT and chips since I didn't set out anything to cook tonight.
