My daughter is learning how to use her new Brother embroidery sewing machine. She is looking for free or inexpensive fonts/monograms and isn't having much luck. I told her I'd ask the Peas because they know everything!
She has grown up listening to me tell all the many things Peas know. So much so that she immediately got up from the computer to let me ask this question!
Thanks in advance!

I have very, very rarely come across a full font set for free. There are many times you can find free designs to practice with. A quick Google search came up with these results: Font: Font - 6 sizesDesigns: 30 Pages Worth of Designs

There are free fonts all over the place! But I've found that you often get what you pay for.
Next time I see some posted on FB I will update this thread.
Tell her to search on Pinterest and look for embroidery groups on FB.

Thanks, ladies. She found some nice ones on jolson designs and the one she downloaded to check out stitched really nicely. And it was only $2!
We will check out the other ideas. Pinterest sounds like a good idea. Facebook, too.
Thanks for all the ideas.

Thanks, ladies. More ideas to look into. I thought about the ideas above and checked on Etsy and found some inexpensive ones there. She tried one out and it works well.

Not free, but reasonable and stitch out great- designs by juju and baby Kay's appliqué. I have several fonts from both of those sites.

Also, if she's on facebook, have her join the facebook group for Brother Embroidery machines. I have learned a TON from that group since I joined a few months ago! (I think there may be two groups).
All sorts of tips and tricks, resources, ideas, enabler alerts, etc ...
Best wishes!

Thanks, everybody! I will pass the rest of the tips on. She was getting frustrated but the Peas turned that right around! Just like I knew they would. Thanks for the quick answers for someone who is mostly a lurker!
