I think the biggest count against it is the reality of that many women wanting to be intimate with Ted Cruz. But yes, the Enquirer broke the story on John Edwards. I've seen mention of them breaking the stories on Tiger Woods and Jesse Jackson too. ETA: Some interesting tidbits in here: 8 Things about the Ted Cruz Scandal

The same reason why several women slept with Trump - power and money is attractive.

Even if it's true, and I'm doubtful, it doesn't really make any difference. Those who already don't like him will cry "hypocrite!" and continue to dislike him. Those who do like him will care, but not enough to change their vote. If it's from Trump's camp, it's funny. If it's from Hillary's camp, it's funnier.

The 8 things link makes the whole Republican political community look inbred. Dems are probably much the same way. I find Cruz distasteful and also have difficulty believing he could attract so many women. After this, I'm surprised people weren't throwing their undies onstage for Rubio.
Large scale american politics have become such a joke, but even locally, we currently have a scandal in MD with Blaine Young caught in a sex sting. Great googly moogly....

Ted Cruz is just creepy. Who exactly would hit that? There is always *someone* who wants to hit that. Unbelievably.

1st, while I wouldn't go near him with someone else's vajayjay, I don't care who he is sleeping with. If I thought he would make a good president, an affair wouldn't keep me from voting for him.
However, if it is true, he is an idiot. Affairs rarely stay secret and he had to know it would come out in the primaries or in the general election. That's just too much good ole american dirt to stay buried.

Ted Cruz is very anti-gay marriage – because it will destroy the sanctity of marriage. Right? Well… I think having affairs with multiple women probably does a little more damage to the sanctity of marriage.

A reporter from the Washington Post confirmed two of the women. I'm starting to wonder if the GOP voters will care though. For John Edwards, it was more than career ending. It will be interesting to see how "values" voters respond.

For John Edwards, it was more than career ending. His wife had cancer. To me that is even more assholian. Truly, I don't care who you have slept with. Engaging in an affair during an election cycle shows just how poor of judgement you have. (I don't know if Cruz is active in his affairs, or if these are affairs of the past)

Can any of these guys keep in in their pants? That was my first thought when reading this, it seems to cut across all party lines. It's like there is some universal check list out there, "did I have affair/affairs?", if "yes" please file paperwork to run for elected office. Beyond that, the only reason I would care about Ted Cruz sleeping around is the absolute hypocrisy it would display. Dumb *ss railing against those wanting to "hurt" traditional marriage, when he allegedly feels free to stick it wherever he can. Shudder, I just grossed myself out thinking of that man having sex.

The Enquirer has been right before... I'm not saying the story might not be true...but even a stopped clock is right twice a day. Lana I don't read it, but they seem to break news on politics fairly well (maybe not, as I don't read it). Sometimes the traditional papers/magazines are more careful so they don't post unless 100% certain (which is a good thing). The Enquirer jumps the gun and gives the other guys cover to do the investigating without pissing someone powerful off.

Sorry, it's Washington Times. It's #2 in the 8 things link that pudgy posted.
ETA: The National Enquirer broke sex stories related to John Edwards, Gary Hart, Tiger Woods and Jesse Jackson. That being said, I have a really hard time believing anyone other than a lizard person would voluntarily have sex with Ted Cruz. I think the phrase "throw up in my mouth" was created just to describe that scenario.

Sorry, it's Washington Times. It's #2 in the 8 things link that pudgy posted. Oh, yeah. The thing I saw somewhere named 3 of the 5. Their backgrounds are interesting; one on the Trump campaign, one from the Fiorina campaign, one a conservative political writer.

Engaging in an affair during an election cycle shows just how poor of judgement you have. (I don't know if Cruz is active in his affairs, or if these are affairs of the past) I don't know about Bernie's history, nor do I really care. The other three front runners would be wise to avoid the subject. if they have any wisdom they'll all say it's between me and my spouse and drop it.

I think I am most shocked by the allegation the Fiorina took hush money. Why wouldn't she let this blow up in Ted's face last summer?

I don't care who a politician is sleeping with. In fact, I'd rather they do it to any woman rather than to the country.

We have been surprised before, but really---Ted Cruz? OTOH, Trump keeps attracting women and I would not want to snuggle up to him either.

With 5 women already alleging affairs with this guy, I hate to say that I have to think there is some kernel of truth in there. Were it only 1 person, it would be more suspect, but 5???
I am consistently flabbergasted at the level of arrogance politicians have to engage in questionable moral behavior and then think that it won't ever uncovered or brought up. It's bad enough that they do these things but then their families have to deal with the fallout in the public eye. Selfish, arrogant, idiots.

If all this is true, then Trump should be talking about telling on Cruz, not telling what he knows on Mrs. Cruz.
