My Kindle currently has 28 stand-alone books and 36 first-of-a-series waiting for me to read. I am resolved to not purchase any more books until the first set is down to 10 and the second set is down to 20 (yeah, I read a lot.)

My current Kindle wishlist has over 200 books on it. So why did I wander around Barnes & Noble today? Apparently just to torture myself, because now there are some books that I reeeeeaaaaallly want to read right now!

I rarely read books when they first come out, and try not to spend more than $10. All of these break those "rules." But still, I want.

I just looked at one, The Alphabet House, and I think I need it too. Maybe instead of buying them all now, you can make a list of what appeals to you and allow yourself to purchase one as you finish one that you currently have on the Kindle?

I'm going to check out the rest of that list! I don't have that many books on my Kindle, but I have stopped reading for a while. At least until I get the rest of this darned house back in order and my craft room finished!

scrapsuzy, I have you beat, hands down! I don't even want to count what is on my nook, my kindle and my bookshelf waiting to be read. I have over 600 books on my "want-to-read" shelf on goodreads. I stopped downloading the Nook Free Friday books unless they are already on my 'to-be-read" list. Same with Kindle's daily deal. I'll get to them, though, if I live long enough!

Most of the ebooks I read are from the library too. Somehow, I still have 173 books on my Kindle right now!

ETA: I just noticed the other day that my "Want to read" list on Goodreads says 999+. The other lists show over 1,000 so I don't know why that one doesn't. Weird.
