I've worked for a private school for 12 years, mainly because that's where my children went and I needed the discount. My youngest graduates in May and will lose Social Security benefits which will greatly reduce our family income. I can make about $20,000 a year miore in a public school.
I had an interview yesterday at one of the local public schools. I felt really good coming out of the interview. They had two more scheduled after me and possibly a couple on Monday. The principal said I should hear from her by Wednesday.
UPDATE: The school is one of the most coveted ones in our county to work at. Every one of my references have told me that when the principal called them she said they were very impressed with me. I got the job!
