Clarks are very comfortable and durable. I wash mine and let them set in the garage to dry.
These are the ones I have. Bought them last year on sale in Black and cant wait for end of season to get more. I took them on my 10 night cruise a couple of weeks ago and wore them on sea days all around the ship for 1000s of steps. No issues. They do have some arch in them. No issues washing them after the cruise either.

Teva flip flops! Olowahu is my favorite style. The double straps keep them on my feet better, they don't shred my skin like the rubbery ones do, they're fairly stylish and leave excellent/crazy tan lines, and I can literally walk miles a day in them. And I never used to be able to wear flip flops at all.

FitFlops -- O. M. G. they are like walking on heaven. My only problem with FitFlops is that they seem to run a bit narrow in the "toe box" (I know there really isn't a box, but the toe end can be narrow enough that my little toe will be left hanging in the breeze.)

Another vote for Fit Flops. They come in many styles, some of which are dressier than others, and they're very comfortable and provide a lot of support. They're not cheap, but they're well worth the money, IMO...

Olukai's are by far the best pair I've ever owned. I have walked miles in NYC in these without so much as a blister or pain. Nordstrom carries them, as well.

www.zappos.com/olukai-ohana-w-basalt-greyI wore these exclusively for 3 days in NYC, and then all summer. They were excellent. A friend also wore this style the entire time she was in Las Vegas walking around. I've had experience with Yellow Box, Teva, and many of the others mentioned here, and they are all great, too, but the Olu'kai were the best for all day walking.

Yellow Box ...I'm a fan of the Jello style. Simple, bling you, comfortable.

I have worn these all over the place for all day walking and have never had an issue. I used to only wear Crocs Athens until I found these. Now I keep those as backups but Teva's are my go to flip flop now.

Merrell's. Expensive but SO worth the price!! I had a pair VERY similar to THESE and they held up for several years of every day wear!!

For traditional flip flops, Havianas or Reefs are my favorite. I also have a pair of Adidas ones with memory foam that are crazy comfortable.
I've had Clarks ones, too. They're amazing.

And I never used to be able to wear flip flops at all. I think one of the biggest things to avoid when buying flip flops is to totally skip the kind that have any part that is rubber or plastic. I wear flip flops all the time, I practically live in things. I probably have 30 pairs of varying styles and colors. I do not ever buy the kind made with plastic/rubber. They are guaranteed to be uncomfortable from the minute you put them on. I have no problem at all with the thing that comes up between my toes UNLESS they are made from the cheap plastic stuff. This: bad, will hurt your toes and is terribly uncomfortable to walk in. Skip at all costs no matter how cheap.

Teva flip flops are so comfortable. I can wear them all day and they never bother me. Agreeing with this.

Vionics! They were designed by a podiatrist for his child (or maybe grandchild?) with plantar fasciitis. They're amazing. I wore them all over NYC on two different trips with no problems whatsoever.

I've found some by Nike that have a super comfy foam sole that I love! Found them at Dunham's. I'll try to post a pic or link.

With summer approaching, I need a new and comfortable pair of flip flops. My poor feet are done with wearing the cheap ones I used to be able to wear. I don't mind paying for comfort and durability. I've been online looking at Clarks and Easy Spirit, but would love some advice from the Peas. What are wearing that is both stylish and comfortable? Have you tried Sanuk's? I love mine.

If you can afford them the Orthoheel Vionics flip flops are the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. Love them!

I live in FLA and am in flip flops a majority of the time. I LOVE Yellow Box-- lots of cute styles and cushy sole. I also have high arches and because these are a bit thicker sole than typical flip flops, I think they fit me better.
