Note to self...a wrap heavy on lettuce is not good on your stomach prior to a 4 mile run. It killed my pace. The stomach pains were horrible.
I think I am going to take advantage of this glorious day and head out to Lowe's to look at plants. I need some new shrubs and a few perennials.

Hi all! Have been having a great day so far. I got up early this morning and knocked out a 3 mile run! I am so excited, my goal this year is to run a 5k and I am almost there! I am slow, but I am lapping every one who's still in bed! I came home and showered and then my husband and I walked to the farmers market that is a block away on Sundays. We bought our favorite granola and some flowers. I am a huge fan of fresh flowers in the home and the farmers market ones last forever!
I also went to Trader Joe's to stock up for the week. Yogurt with granola is my favorite snack so I always stock up on the low fat yogurts. I am getting ready to have lunch and then we are headed off to the beach to celebrate a friend's birthday!
B - Joe O's with 2% milk and sliced banana L - crackers with cheese and hummus. Carrot sticks and cucumber slices. D - mixed green salad with grilled chicken, goat cheese, dried cranberries, and sunflower seeds with a poppy seed dressing S - sunflower seeds and string cheese

I woke up to snow. I cannot stand it. And we are getting up to 6 inches overnight. Just enough to have a crappy morning commute (and mess with my return to kickboxing class!!).
I am doing my weekly meal prep today. Chicken and veggie stir fry over brown rice, a white bean and farro salad, sweet potato hash with hard boiled eggs for breakfast. After that I am taking a nice long nap. The only good thing about a cold snowy day is that I don't feel guilty about being lazy!

padresfan619 I love your attitude! You are right, pace doesn't matter compared to not doing it. I really want to come over for dinner. That salad sounds divine!

Hey ladies!!! Been a busy day so far! Slept in a bit and then got right to food prep. Made pork chops, quinoa pasta w/pesto and a mix of zucchini, summer squash and italian peppers for 3 of dh's lunches. Then made chicken meatballs with marinara with the same 2 sides for his other 2 lunches. I cut up carrots for snacking for dd and dh. I made 4 lunches for myself of chicken breast, 1/4 c of jasmine rice and broccoli all sauteed together. Made egg patties for dh, cut up fruit for everyone. And used the carpet cleaning machine to clean our oversized living room chair that ds christened with vomit this week. I cleaned it right after it happened but one of the girls said it still smelled. I took their word for it and pulled out the carpet cleaner and bought some stuff that had Febreeze in it. Chair looks MUCH better and smells ok now too. Now I'm off to do the other pieces of furniture!! Hope you're all having a great weekend!! Wow, I am tired just reading that. LOL! I don't like to cook so I can't imagine doing all of that. You are awesome! I know your family appreciates you!!! I admit, there are some Sundays where the last thing I want to do is cook. BUT - I do it anyway because it's one way that ensures I stay on plan each week. While I technically have time during the week to cook my own lunches, I tend not to...I opt for the easy way out, which isn't always the healthiest choice. So if I prep my lunches on Sunday, then I have no excuse to eat healthy - they're already made and all I have to do is heat it up! DH tells me every single week that he appreciates the time I put into things so that he can eat healthy too. He's lost about 20 lbs since the beginning of January and is currently at his goal weight. The kids - well, they'll appreciate it when they're older. LOLOL I hope.

I don't even want to think about meal prep or menus or counting carbs or protein. I am so discouraged with my belly. It's not that big, but compared to the rest of me- I just feel fat. My cortisol went wacko a couple of years ago and I'm wondering if that's the case now. "Stress belly"- is it real? I'm doing everything right- just blowing up as soon as I eat breakfast- and it's eggs- not even carbs. I'll stop whining now.

I ran for 6 straight minutes! I was so happy! I did a 2 mile run/walk and my run was between 4.0 - 4.4 mph and I did it. What a difference when you run slower. Yesterday I did a 5 mile hike which was super nice.
DH is making me fish for dinner. He doesn't like fish so he is doing steak for him and fish for me. YUMMY!
