We are out to dinner. At the booth behind us, Mom sits the kids down and says I'm going to go get your dad. I'm wondering if she is leaving her kids while she drives to pick him up, or is he in a wheelchair or something? No he's captain America! My heart went pitter patter just a bit when he walked past. It Took all meal to convince somebody To take a pic but Ds17 came through for me! He Kept the mask on the entire time he ate. Little girls came up shyly so cute to ask for a pic and he was very gracious. You know I wanted to do the same thing! LOL  |

Is there a Con going on where you live? The few times I've been downtown during one of the Cons here it's not unusual to see diners in costume.

What? The actor that plays captain America or a dad dressed up like captain america? I don't think that actor has any kids yet? Either way how fun!!! I would have done the same thing you and your son did! |

I think he must have been waiting in the car so as not to draw too much attention while they were waiting for a table? I haven't seen any others. |

I don't know if he does parties or whatever but I know what I want at my next birthday party! LOL Dd said mom it's illegal to take someone's picture without their consent! I said you are taking a picture of me and he happens to be in the background. Or ya know, Captain America photobombed my pic? LOL |

That is awesome! Side note, I love your coat. Thank you! I do too. I've had it for years. I always wanted a red wool coat and thought that's what I ordered. But this came instead. And I immediately loved it because it's different. |

I remember vividly a trip to the grocery store where my youngest insisted on wearing his Superman cape. He then very sweetly with *that* look (you know, the one where you will DO anything for them? that look) and asked me to wear his Batman cape. What are you going to do, say no??
So we went to Publix in our superhero capes and had a ball.
My guess is that dad was on the other side of *that* look too.

I told my kids I showed the photo to the peas. "Take it down! That's public! What if his wife is a pea?" I said if his wife is a pea she will think it's hilarious! I don't know if you guys remember but this is why I was so excited it was Captain America.
