Good morning ladies!! I thought my other dd was going to come down with the flu because last night she was running a bit of a fever but she woke up this morning with no fever and feeling completely fine. She's done this quite a few times over the years where she'll have a fever for a very short amount of time and the next morning there's no fever and nothing ever materializes. I've never understood it. But today I'm thankful for it. We have tickets to see the Women's National Soccer Team play tomorrow night and we're traveling 2.5 hours one way to watch it. I'm one of those bad moms that would take her to the game with the flu but I know she wouldn't enjoy it as much if she was sick. It's not an event that we could easily get tickets to again (they're not playing anywhere around here anytime soon) so it's kind of a chance of a lifetime for us. Anywho, she was a cool 97.7 this morning and fine so I'm SO thankful. Eating was horrific yesterday. Not that I made bad choices, I just ate a lot. I still ate within my calories given by MFP, but I ate much more than I normally do. Thankfully the scale only went up .2 and I woke up this morning and wasn't starving. So hopefully today will be a more normal eating day. Working out after the kids go to school and then my plan is to do some laundry and clean out my closet. The closet is a little bit out of control with clothes that I just don't wear. So it's time to purge. I must have 15 pairs of jeans that I don't wear for whatever reason but I keep holding onto them for no reason. I hope you all have a fantastic day!!

I need to purge some of my clothes too Brandy. They just take up room. And glad your other daughter seems to be flu free. Praying it stays that way!
I am trying to decide if we have leftovers for dinner tonight. We have several dinners leftover, and I don't know if I will get to them all for lunches so it might be a leftover night. Love that! Hubby despises leftover so he has crab cakes when I do leftover night. LOL!
Not sure what is on my agenda today. Thankfully there is nothing on the calendar so I can do as little or a much as I please. Love these kind of days. I will definitely go on a walk with the dogs in about 30 minutes. And I definitely want to paint today in my art journal. DD wants to learn how I paint my flowers so I may do that with her.

Morning. I slept like hell last night, which is very unusual for me. I had a ton of energy still at 10 (usually go to bed around 9:30), then couldn't get comfortable, my left leg was achy for some reason, and around 12 I finally got up and went to the couch. Something about going to the couch seems to help when I can't get to sleep. Ended up maybe with 4.5 hours, so I imagine I will sleep well tonight. Sleep is definitely an important part of health, I'm very thankful I don't usually struggle because it succccckkkkks.
Brandy, I keep a box on the floor of my closet, and if I try something on and take it off several times, but never end up wearing it, it doesn't fit right, etc- into the donation box it goes. My clothes choices are pretty bleak right now, I need to make a trip to the consignment store. I do have 4 or 5 pairs of jeans, but it will be too hot here soon for any denim, even capris. And then I have maybe 5 short sleeve shirts I'm rotating through and a few tank tops and cardigans.

I've got an appointment to give blood today. Tried to give on Saturday but my iron was a little too low, which hasn't happened in a long time. My blood pressure was also 94/63 which is on the low side for me. I'm not convinced that was right, the cuff seemed very large on me (between the standard and large cuff sizes I think), and the machine didn't seem to get as tight as usual and read it very fast. We will see what it is today.

brandy327 I hope you can pull off your busy plans with healthy kids. I worked in the yard for about 2 hours yesterday and evidently used muscles that have been mostly dormant all winter...I'm a little sore this morning. I did fairly well with eating, but didn't write down what I ate. I tend to tell myself, "I'll write it down later." Must write down as I eat...it seems to be key for me. Walking today and little more yard work.

I'm a super light sleeper and it was accentuated by having children. LOL It takes me a long time to fall asleep and I wake up frequently. I'm super thankful to get 2 or 3 nights a week where I sleep most of the night through. Hopefully you sleep better tonight. That's a great idea about the box. I think I'll do that.

Glad to hear your house is on the mend Brandy....sick kids just sucks (even when they are all older).
I actually managed to update MFP after every meal yesterday - I have been slipping lately and waiting until the next day to fill it in.
I said yesterday I have a quiet week - thank goodness I went through my emails yesterday! I found two cake orders for this week I had missed putting on an order form. So in addition to my son's cake, I now have two other orders, so not such a quiet week after all!

Good morning everyone! The kids go back to school today after a long spring break. Woohoo! I can so relate to everyone who needs to clean their closet. I actually deep cleaned mine on Sunday. I know that I have a good amount of clothes but when you see them packed up it is amazing. I got rid of a whole garbage bag full of things that just don't fit right or are old and put away my chunky sweaters and scarves that are more for winter, as well as boots that I probably won't wear anymore. Also got my spring clothes out and hopefully that will give me motivation to keep up with my goals. I was hoping to be closer to my goal weight by now so I could really purge my closet. Can't do anything about that now. I am in the process of deep cleaning and decluttering the house. I worked hard Sunday and yesterday and am really sore. U fortunately I still have a lot to do. We have been talking about buying a new house and last fall said we would work on getting the house ready "in case" but really didn't do that. I am not sure where we will move or not, but I want to get the things on the list done anyway. I did look at a house yesterday that I really liked but of course the realtor said that they got an offer yesterday morning.

Hi all! I got back from a trip yesterday and am leaving again tonight for a week, so once again I'm just here sporadically. My uncle (my dad's brother) died unexpectedly in his sleep on Saturday. He was only 54. I wasn't close to him, but I feel dad for his daughters and my dad of course. The autopsy didn't give any noticeable cause, so we have to wait for more information to find out why. He had been sick, but had been to the doctor and was on antibiotics. The only possible thought my dad has is that he (my dad) is very allergic to penicillin. In talking to his sister, found out that she is as well. So they wonder if maybe the prescription included it and my uncle either didn't know he was allergic or didn't know it was an ingredient? But all just speculation at this point. I had a long week of meetings in multiple cities, so I'm just trying to reroute plans to accommodate as much as I can. I am back on track eating wise - or at least better than I was! Have to keep on top of that! I started the new Tony Horton 22 minute Hard Corps program today. Holy...I was sweating A LOT for 22 minutes! But I kind of loved it. Love the 'boot camp' style and really loved that he used military members as his back ups. Then I figured out that their shirt colors represent their military branch, which I think is cool too!

*KAS*, so sorry about your uncle. So young and very sad! I hope y'all can get answers. And I just bought the new Tony Hard Corps. Can't wait to try it. I too love that it includes the military being part of a military family myself. Gotta love it. Glad you liked it!

It has been a day.
DD has chorus on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 7:20. We fight a battle nearly every morning to get her there somewhat on time. I mayyyyy have been in the car, in the street ready to leave her behind this morning.
Looking forward to CrossFit after work then DD has soccer practice. The weather has been gorgeous so maybe some nice Vitamin D and a workout will help my cranky butt!
Food is ok--I've been self medicating with the only sugar I have in the classroom--raisins. Ha!!!

I'm still plugging along. Tried a new cable leg workout today at gym- you would get a laugh if I could have recorded it. Just not used to those moves. I have been dragging-time for HRT- and I can tell that I'm out of juice. It's terrible getting old!

Hi all! I had a busy weekend and didn't get a chance to pop in. Went to my Saturday weigh-in and stayed the same. I'm very thankful for that because last week was not my finest week. I started the week fairly well, but got somewhat off track this afternoon. I'm not sure how I'm going to handle sugar at this point! I had some pb and chocolate chips. Ugh! I had more than I thought I would and I'm thankfully too full to eat anything else. I'm not stuffed, but definitely not hungry enough to eat any dinner. I'm chalking it up to a mistake and moving on. Not much more I can do. Tracked it, it's over and done with. Moving forward is the only thing that will help me at this point so that's what I'll do. I'm just waiting for this week to be over. My daughter's Confirmation is Friday and I'm just SO ready for this to be over. So much time devoted to this event this year and both of us are just focused on getting to Friday and then hopefully getting life somewhat back to normal. I'm going to need to step up my walking game this weekend and next week. On April 19 I travel to Quebec City with my students for a five day walking tour. Quebec City is freaking HILLY! I can already feel my thighs and butt! I need to be able to keep up with 13 and 14 year olds as I climb the steepest flipping hill to the Citadel and not look like I want to die by the time we get there!

Hi everyone. Getting a super late check in today, I've had a crazy busy day! I didn't get enough sleep last night so I was dragging most of the day. My manager was back today and so was one person in my department so we were only one man down, then my coworker left early because he wasn't feeling well. Back to doing the jobs of two people! I hit 10,000 steps pretty early! I decided to skip the jog today, I'm just not feeling it. I ate well today so I'm not too worried, but I will make sure to do a longer jog tomorrow. I made the mistake of sitting on the couch right when I got home from work and that's when I lost all motivation.
B - hard boiled egg, yogurt, and granola L - leftover stir fried cauliflower rice and shrimp D - grilled fish tacos and cilantro lime rice S - a bowl of Joe O's and 2% milk

Sounds like everyone is doing well and staying positive.
I did a BBM cardio workout this morning, and then ran 3.25 miles while my ds had baseball practice tonight. Tonight was one of those nights that 3.25 felt more like 1.25. I love it when that happens. Lol!
I took one of those Sargento Balanced snack things to work today. It was so yummy and filling!
