Today is a rather busy day with back to back appointments. So, I'm just not sure what to cook. It might be chicken soup or Chicken Fajita Pasta.
What's on your menu?
Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone.

Oh, I know, I know!! I have Burning Feather's Italian Beef cooking. First time trying it. This summer we are going to have a house warming - open house party and are trying to think of things to have. If this works out, this may be one of our options! I want things easy that can stay in a crock pot.

In spite of my request for tacos we're having ham steaks. Potatoes, carrots and broccoli will be served as well. I'm not cooking so I shouldn't complain.

I got several lbs of chicken on sale at Aldi that I need to use, so it will some sort of chicken dish. I'm leaning toward chicken and noodles.

I decided quickly today! Our temps are down in the 30's again so we're having loaded baked potato soup, salad, and pumpernickel bread - and maybe a hot toddy afterwards!! lol

Hubby is out of town.
Thing 2 (only child left at home) has HS Soccer playoff game tonite, so they eat as a team this evening.
So I'm meeting some other soccer parents at Jimmy Changa's pregame for dinner.

We're having a Bisquick impossibly easy ham and asparagus pie, roasted cauliflower and carrots, fresh pineapple chunks, Italian bread, and there are still some brownies left from yesterday and I'll pull some other cookies out of the freezer to fill in the empty spots on the plate.

I bought a piece of fish today at the market and am going to make fish cakes with it. Roasted asparagus and avocado salad, too. I'll cut up fruit that I bought for a fruit and honey/yogurt dessert.
Thanks for the thread.

Don't know at this point. We had a leak detection expert in the house that found our water leak to be under the kitchen sink (we have been dealing with this since Friday night). Anyway he contacted the plumber and they came and got the man's diagram and report. The plumber will be calling later today OR tomorrow with the estimate and a time to do the work. Thank heavens we can turn the hot water on and take a shower and turn it back off. Washing the dishes is okay because I'm up-to-date. Washed a load of clothes in cold.
We'll make do - it's only water - it's not like 10 days without electricity back in August when Hurricane Isaac.
Maybe Chinese take out or Pizza delivery - not in the mood for anything at this point.

Easy ham with a few sides from Raley's. This will be my last check-in until the 14th unless you want to know all the fabulous food we're eating in NOLA.

@peasville, thinking of you. KelleeM, how is your DD? She's at home and feeling better... She still has a drain and sees the surgeon on Thursday. There are still circumstances that are concerning both of us (not health related). Thanks for asking.

cadoodlebug, but *of *course we want to know about all of your fabulous food eating adventures in NOLA! I am doing something with chicken tonight. I don't know what. I want curry, but the kids aren't that crazy about it. As a compromise, I might just slice it into strips with butter, green onions and garlic and go from there. And baked potatoes. And broccoli. Lisa

The leftover manicotti from Sunday. The baseball tournament is on today, even though the temperatures were as cold today as yesterday, when all games were cancelled. The big difference is that the sun is out today, so hopefully the boys won't notice that it is only in the mid-30s! Since I missed a half day of work yesterday waiting for them to cancel the games, I probably won't make it to today's game. I hate to miss anything, especially since this is his last baseball season ever.

My hubby travels to NOLA a lot for business (he is there right now). I always tell him to please not call me and tell me all the delicious stuff he's eating!

I think I'll saute chicken tenders and serve with some type of veg and left over roasted potatoes.
