...seriously, I can't make this sh!t up. I didn't even know things still got eaten by moths. (I looked it up, they only eat things that are made of wool - not cotton or synthetics - that sit undisturbed for long periods of time. So I'm kind of skeeved out by that and will have to deal with the closet when we get back.) But I'm so annoyed with DH, because we got the save the date card 6 freaking months ago. It's a good thing he got the bright idea to try it on last night or we wouldn't have known that there were holes all over it until we go there - oh, and we have to FLY to this wedding! So as soon as he gets home from work we are heading to the mall to buy an ill-fitting suit that we won't have time to get tailored. Ugh. So how was your day?!

Where's your wedding going to be? Could you go to a local place?
Does he absolutely have to wear a suit? What kind of place is your venue?

Yes, he definitely has to wear a suit, it's a fancy one! Fortunately, DH is tall and handsome so maybe people won't notice his suit doesn't fit right, LOL ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

Some tuxedo rental shops rent suits as well. It might be worth checking out. They can at least make sure what he's wearing fits well. It might be better than buying something that doesn't fit well and annoys you when you see it.
I hope you find a good solution and are able to have fun at the wedding.

We have bought quick suits at Kohls-pants were a little long for the wedding, but for a last minute purchase, it was worth it.
Maybe your local dry cleaner can alter a new suit (at least hem the pants) within a day? It might cost a little bit more, but it could work.
I read the tread's title and didn't see the word "suit" and thought your husband was attacked by moths-this scenario, though definitely not fun, is so much better than I expected! Have fun at the wedding!

Men's Warehouse can be extremely accommodating if you can get the jacket to fit properly. They hemmed my son's suit pants that afternoon for him.

Do you have a Burlington coat factory?
Great suits there and they have 36-38 inseams.

Can he wear something dressy that isn't a suit? My husband always gets nice work outfits from Kohl's that are not suits. Suits are expensive, so unless it's in your budget, I bet a nice less expensive outfit would be fine.

Great women's suits, too. My colleagues are always surprised that is where all my suits are from and the exact ones are in Macy's for double or triple the price.

I wore a wool cardigan to work today with the sleeves turned up. 'Cause the end of each sleeve has two moth holes. The moths in my closet are laaaazy and only attack the dangly bits. But I'll take those moths over those damn flour moths that invade your dry food. 'Cause you can't roll up the sleeves of your food. Yes, I've tried.

Mission accomplished! Just got back from Macy's and they were having a sale ( are they ever NOT?), he got a Tommy Hilfiger suit sold as separate pieces, so it actually fits pretty well. We can get some alterations done when we get home. Thanks for all the suggestions:)
ETA it must be so nice to be a guy...run into a store, grab a suit, and leave in less than 2 hours. If I needed a dress for the wedding, that's not how it would have gone!

man, at least he tried the mothy suit on first or you wouldn't have some time to get another one. I don't think you will have trouble finding a new suit. just find a place that carries a ton of suits so you have the best chance of finding the best fitting one.
