We were in New Braunfels, TX last weekend and the weather was so nice so we had the sun roof open as we drove through Gruene. A spider must have dropped into the car!
Tuesday morning I got in my car and saw a tiny spider hanging by a silky web from my rear view mirror. I have tiny bites on my legs and they itch like crazy! I am not going to die but I am tired of getting spider bites!!!
So...do they make tiny bug foggers for a car or do I need to blow my car up?

They have plenty of ways to get in other than your sunroof. They really like car vents.

Well, you could shut a bird or lizard in your car. Both will eat spiders.
Of course, then you'll have a whole new set of problems.

I had a 5 foot boa constrictor in my car once. That was good for weeks of nightmares.

I have about 20 horse chestnuts in my car. It is NOT a proven fact that spiders do not like horse chestnuts. It is an urban legend. As Dr. Phil would say "How's that working out for you?" It's working pretty great I'd say. No spiders in the car all winter long as a matter of fact. I am thrilled with the results. We have a TON of very big horse chestnut trees at the top of the street. They drop the pods in the fall, the squirrels steal the nuts. I find the ones they leave behind. I take them and put them in the car. Spiders don't come in. It's a win-win situation!

Close the car up and park it in the Texas sun for 3 days. Nothing can survive that.

I used one of the smaller big bombs in my car several times before. the kind with the creeping fog. it got rid of the spiders, and we never had a problem with the chemicals in the upholstery, even tho I have sensitive skin. we chose the ones that says something about no/low residue or such. cleaned the glass and plastic parts afterwards and vacuumed upholstery.

My Nana had a spider living in her car. A huge guy who had built a spider web cave in the back window. She wouldn't let us kill it because it was keeping the flies out. LOL! She also kept a cardboard box in the trunk in case she saw a snake while driving. She would stop and catch it, then take it home to put down a gopher hole.

It was someone's pet that busted free and somehow into my floorboard. I was driving when it slithered onto my lap. Not a good moment.

I would have driven to the police station and then had someone come out and remove it. (It is closer than the SPCA where I live). I also would have had a heart attack, and would have done some desensitization therapy. Holy heck this is worse than snakes on a plane.

Lol. I had a boyfriend at the time who happened to have some snakes and lizards himself. I pulled over jumped out like my seat was on fire and called him. He came and took the boa to his place. I put up a few signs in my neighborhood but no one claimed the snake. The bf kept it. Lucky he was my BF at the time, but sorta glad it didn't last past the summer. The snake/lizard life was not for me.
