This show turned out to be pretty good! I'm glad I hung in there and kept watching.

I DVR it, and watch with my DD13, when she gets home from school on Wednesday. We will miss it. I've almost got her sold on watching Call the Midwife, to keep our Wednesdays going. We've enjoyed talking about different subjects, watching OJ. I really think she would enjoy discussing the stories of CTMW.

I felt so bad for Marcia & Chris Darden after the verdict. Interesting how Robert Kardashian stopped talking to him after the trial. I thought the series was well done.

We see this a day after you, so the finale will be DVR'd for us tonight. Since spoilers are not an issue, I have really appreciated the Peas' inputs! Had I not read the threads here I would have quit after the K family promotional stuff and I would probably have regretted this as over here we did not see all the inside info on how the process worked itself out.

Despite the time it took to come to terms with some of the character portrayals, I thought it was extremely well done. I'm actually rather sad to see it end.

The fifth episode aired here this week. I've really enjoyed the series so far and think David Schwimmer is excellent as Robert Kardashian and the emotion he shows.
I remember seeing bits in the news when the incident and trial were going on but didn't take a lot of notice. I'm finding the series really interesting.

I started watching last night but only made it through the closing statements (I will watch the rest tonight). It still amazes me how much physical evidence there was - more than I realized - and they still found him not guilty. I know they have to prove without a shadow of doubt and I think they did that. It just goes to show what a good lawyer Johnny Cochran was - wow! I can't help but to think that if they never put Mark Furman on the stand, what would have happened? Guess we will never know. I too have really enjoyed it and am sorry to see it end. Even though I watched the trial is real time I still find myself mesmerized by the whole thing.
I think the next one they should do is the Casey Anthony trial.

I think the next one they should do is the Casey Anthony trial. The next one is going to be about Hurricane Katrina in some way.

I'm watching the finale now. It is so good. I mean, we all know the verdict, and yet the courtroom scene awaiting the reading of the verdict was so crazy suspenseful. How is that even possible??? Yet... they did it. Incredible story telling and acting IMO.

One of the things I liked about this was that I could miss a few episodes and still know what was going on, lol. Link to Listing of Evidence - Click HERE I was thinking the same things! How in the name of all that is holy could those people have found him not guilty? And then that one juror said something about them not proving their case (which was bogus, imo) and it hit me. These people just couldn't believe their hero could do this, so they were looking for any excuse to let him off. I don't think anyone truly thought he didn't do it. There really is a difference between 'innocent' and 'not guilty' and those idiot jurors found it. And yes, the whole incident didn't prove OJ was not guilty. It just proved what an incredible lawyer Johnny Cochran was. I'm watching the finale now. It is so good. I mean, we all know the verdict, and yet the courtroom scene awaiting the reading of the verdict was so crazy suspenseful. How is that even possible??? Yet... they did it. Incredible story telling and acting IMO. Right? I was actually nervous! As if it was going to turn out any other way, lol. Really well done.

Also, no one has to be proven not guilty. They have to be proven guilty and that's a wholly different thing.

Thanx for the link, @busypea.
While I still think he did it, or at least had something to do w/it, that was a very interesting interview. She's very well spoken, shed an interesting light on the subject (& the show) and made some really good points.

Oh my gosh was it interesting to watch and learn some of the inner things that went on.
Honestly, besides Casey Anthony, there are a ton of crazy real life trials that would be interesting to see in this format. Jody Arias for one. However, having lived it 24/7 here in AZ I might not be as intrigued.
I think the thing that was good was that it was 20 years ago - some of the details had slipped mine and DH's memory. Maybe they should resurface some of the older court room dramas.

I was really hoping they were going to find him guilty this time. Jen Me too! I was feeling anxious as I was watching, like if this time around it could be different. So silly of me, but it happens that way with movies too, when I know exactly how the movie is going to end.

However, I also think the jury verdict was probably the right one because there was definitely reasonable doubt. It's hard to say that - because of course we don't want anyone to get away with murder - but I'd rather see someone guilty go free than someone innocent be wrongly imprisoned.
