In the midst of packing for my trip I remembered that I meant to start this thread. The show looks interesting and started next Tuesday on NBC. Since Shades of Blue just finished up we thought we'd give it a go.

I will have to look this up. I really like Shades of Blue (until the last episode???) but am still looking forward to season 2

Well since it seems we have very similar taste in shows, I probably will now

I meant to set the DVR last night after I saw a preview for it, but something distracted me and it didn't get done. Thanks for the reminder. It looks like it's worth a shot.

So, did anybody watch? I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I'll definitely keep watching.

I started to watch it but the violence was too much so I turned the channel.

I watched it but haven't decided if I will continue or not. It didn't suck me in like some shows. I guess it will depend on how desperate I may be for something to watch.

it was meh for me. The violence of young boys getting beatings in a youth detention facility was disturbing. The whole storyline of one experience for a group of boys is not enough to hold my interest. I won't be watching it again.

It was a lot all at once. I think I'll try a couple of more episodes.

I think it did what it needed to do to set the foundation of the show. I am definitely interested enough to keep watching.

Crud. I missed it.
Ironically, since I first heard about it, the premise totally reminded me of the old movie "Sleepers." Watch it if you haven't - the cast is stellar. Excellent acting. Lots of violence and difficult subject matter, including abuse at a boys' home. I thought that Game of Silence might be based on this movie.
Ironically, Sleepers was on one of the movie channels last night.

Turned in where they were yelling at the girl to go home.
Switched over to fox at 10:30 to watch law and order: criminal intent.
I am getting tired of shows with huge back stories.
