Hi I was taking my umteenth type of antidepressant and my legs are in pain and so sore. I have gained probably 25 lbs and my um cleavage is huge. (Normally I have boobs which is fine) but this medication did something to make me obscene. Ugh. Does anyone else have experience with leg pain and medication? It's an ache that tylenol won't take away (no ibprofen or anything else). I am going to the gym and all I can walk is like 20 minutes and then I am done. I used to do 45 and have great results (thin legs with great tone). If anyone has had this problem in the past please let me know what has worked for you. Thanks so much! Elannah |

I have never heard of that before. Have you tried to talk to your DR or the nurse?

I'm having this issue as well. Leg pain and soreness not the weight gain, although I have a medical problem where my body won't absorb nutrition, making it impossible to gain weight.
I'm on Zoloft and Abilify. I'm wondering if it's the Abilify. I just started it a month ago and while I feel better mentally, physically I'm getting worse. I see my doctor next week. I dread trying yet another umteenth antidepressant, but I also need the ability to walk and drive.

Yes she knows about it. She keeps trying me on different types because eventually I fall from the weakness it gives me. Crazy I know. I am going to go to the gym now and get my workout in before it gets too hot. |

Yes, it is the Abilify as that is what I am taking and I have had it with every other drug in the same class I have taken. Yeah enough. I will stay crazy. My legs are just aching right now. I am going to go workout anyway to keep them moving. Last night I could barely walk 3 blocks with the dogs before I was in so much pain I needed to come home. |

Is the pain because of the swelling? Am I reading that right? that youre legs are swollen? If so, then you need to call your Dr.

No my legs aren't at all swollen. They just have deep muscular pain. Not like a stabbing pain but like an ache.
I just finished at the gym and while I forced myself to do as long as I could it wasn't easy. I used to do 45 min to an hour on the treadmill. Today I did 25 min and I was DONE.
I need the medication but I also don't need the extra 40 pounds I put on from it. Something has to give.
