I don't know where I've been but I just discovered Madeleine cookies. Have watched some videos and read some recipes. This is the perfect cookie that I'm looking for to include in menu for my daughter's baby shower. I want flavorful and delicate cookies. All handmade by me. So this doesn't look difficult at all. Just wondering what type of pan to use. If you make them, do you have a recommendation for a good pan to buy. I could see myself making these often so don't worry if the pan is a bit pricey, just looking for a good pan.

I've never made madeleines but Williams Sonoma carries the pans. They have the traditional shape and some others like hearts and shells.

I LOVE to bake from scratch, but if you decide it is not worth it Costco has very yummy ones!

I made them last week. Just used a special Madeleine pan from Williams sonoma. They also have them on Amazon.

I have one I got at Williams-Sonoma about 30 years ago, even though I'm not old enough to have owned a pan for that long. Madeleines are very easy to make but they don't store very well. Enjoy!

Definitely the Williams Sonoma pan is the one to get. Others are just... flimsy.

I ordered a pan last night. If I wrap them well, can I freeze them? I want to make them for my daughter's baby shower

We had an event where a mom made dozens of these, but they didn't get eaten because they weren't tender after sitting for too long. That says something when teens won't eat a cookie! I think she had made them 2 days before an event. I'd try a batch and freeze them and see if that works. But I think you are going to need to make that morning or the night before.
