lostwithout2peas, sorry for your loss. It's hard to think about anything else when you're going through so much.

My daughter and I had a fun afternoon, playing with chalks, gelatos and chamelon markers. After that I made a couple of cards

Thank you ladies for your kind words. Thru all of this I am learning how very blessed I am to be surrounded by a loving and supportive family. From my immediate family to my brothers and sisters and cousins as well. We've all come together in this time of need. And I've gotten to see extended family I haven't seen in a while. Though not under the best circumstances, I'm great full for the relationships I have!

My goal is to print pictures for pages in progress. Computer broke last year and have a new version of PS and I swear everything changed and not liking the changes. It took an hour to simply crop and print 5 photos earlier today. I got things fixed better and things are going faster now thank goodness.

Scrapper100, I so feel that way when I update PSE, but I usually only update every 5 years. I'm hoping to get a page done tomorrow.

I got a peachy cheap order in the mail! But still no scrapping. I'm hoping May will be my month for scrapping a ton of layouts. I'll have to do more than hope if I really want to do it, though. I need to start planning and also scheduling time to scrap. I could use some quiet time alone.

I started working on my Christmas morning mini book. I found a couple matching chipboard books I picked up awhile ago in the M's dollar bins so I decided to use them. I picked out the papers and planned what pictures go on each page yesterday. Today I covered the chip board with the papers and filed/sanded all the edges. That was a bit time consuming because the pages have a scalloped edge. I've also pulled some Christmas themed embellishments that I can use. So, I'm pretty happy with the progress I've made so far. Tomorrow DD and I are heading out for the day and then to a movie so no more scrapping time until next weekend. But I'm really looking forward to our day out AND we are hitting a scrapping store too! ?

nitad that sounds like a fun project! Part of me feels guilty, thinking about all those cb albums I purchased and tucked away with great plans to use them, and all those times I thought I could create a Christmas mini album or a December Daily. But mostly I am excited that someone is able to actually DO one of those projects! Hope you get a chance to share your mini-album--or part of it--when it is done.

I will be finishing a mini album I spotted on youtube in 2013. Not that I have any pictures for it, I just liked the mini album. I think I will confer with my scrapper in crime (my daughter) and see what advice she has about choosing pictures.

Here are the Tim Holtz Tags of the Month that I finished up this weekend. It's been fun challenging myself to learn some mixed media techniques, even if they don't look like the examples. I've learned so much, and am much more comfortable with stencils, sprays, stamps and stains.
The Distress Crayons are the bomb! Now I just need to learn how to use them without getting the colors muddy.
Next up is the Paper Mosaic tag. That one looks fun. Is anyone else doing these?

I finally got some scraping done. I think it's the first layouts of the year but not sure. I did four layouts which is exciting because I am really slow and it normally takes me a weekend to do one even if it's a sketch or kit. I still need to add journalling on two but it will be handwritten so won't take long. I have never liked handwriting on my layouts but two of the layouts had journalling cards on them and I figured I would just go for it vs messing around with my printer for an hour .

Thanks for the encouragement grammadee! I'm not so good at the tech side of things but I did figure out how to post pictures at one point in time....now if I can just remember I will post a pic or two of my project when it's done.

Thst is really cool. Thanks! I cheated though. The technique described was to use clear ink, emboss the stamp and then chalk it. I couldn't get it the chalk to stick at all, so I finally used white ink. I liked this layered stamp/die set I found at Tuesday Morning, and will use the concept on some page layouts.

Thanks to the massive flooding in Houston, my weekend never ended. And we just got an email from the school district saying that school is canceled the rest of the week. So…looks like I'll have more time to work on my albums. I only have a few more weeks to finish up my 2013 album. I was getting sick of journaling, so I spent most of today putting cards in my 2014 album. Super excited that I'm finally making progress on these albums! I hope everyone is doing well! rhhdk , I love your cards. And oaksong , those tags are amazing! @elaynef, that coffee mug printable is really neat. I need to remember to do something like that for my mom for Mother's Day!

I even arranged to work Sun-Thurs so I can pack up on Friday and get to the hotel as soon as possible, lol!! (this is quite possibly the only time I will ever be excited about having to work on a weekend, for sure!)

I'm scrapbooking today in between cleaning my house - I got my SeaWorld album finished yesterday - yay! (my children went with their Aunt in 2010) - and now I'm working on some photos from this January.
We're heading out of town overnight Sat-Sun so whatever I accomplish today is it for the weekend - visiting my MIL at our niece's house about 3 hours south of us.

My 3rd week posting on this thread! No scrapping this weekend because I have 3 sewing projects I have promised. I did get a bunch of paper from Scrap your Trip in the mail today and I will enjoy looking at that tonight!

We've got a busy weekend with relatives in from out of town, Hospital visits(bad news for both cousins, not good), our nieces dance showcase, and a trip out of town for our daughters cheer competition. So no page kit making for me, but plenty of photo opportunities! I can't wait till my 3 day crop!! I'm counting down the days!! I'm more then ready for a vacation!
