So I finally upgraded my Fitbit this past weekend.
If you have the Charge HR - do you find the calories burned to be accurate? The reason I ask is that this morning I went and worked out on the treadmill and what the treadmill said I did and what my fit bit says is extremely different.
I think its close on my steps during the day, but not sure how close it is on the actual calories burned.

I think it is pretty accurate-as it's going by your HR.
how long were you on the treadmill? and what was your pace? unless you are full out running for an extended period of time, a treadmill or elliptical workout is going to burn very few calories.

My guess is that the burn the treadmill gave you was higher than the Fitbit. I would trust the Fitbit over the treadmill.

Is the treadmill set specifically to you such as pf gender/age/weight etc?

I really don't know if the calories burned is accurate. I do know that the heart rate monitor has times when it doesn't know what to do with what I am doing. If I do a dvd with a lot of arm movement or one that uses weights it gets all goofed up. I'll be dripping with sweat and I'll see that the rate monitor isn't displaying a number. After the workout is over it will tell me that my average heart rate was 110 beats per minute during the workout and that I burned 6 calories per minute - pretty much the same as when I walk my dogs. I do find that if I'm running, it figures that out. I don't run on a treadmill or use any other calorie counters.

I gave up on the Fitbit because of this reason. It drove me nuts. Never accurate. The treadmill or elliptical would say one thing and my Fitbit would say something totally different.

I have no clue! I am going to ask tomorrow when I go back to workout. I didnt start thinking about this until after I left the gym today .
