I'm at work, and I SOOOO want to watch Glitter Girl's video about layering. Then I want to leave for the day to go scrap, LOL!!
I love the fact that Glitter Girl is still around and the company that shall not be named let her keep GG alive.
Do you have a fave one of her latest videos?

honestly, I haven't watched any Glitter Girl videos lately; I check out Shimelle's blog occasionally, but truthfully, I hadn't been inspired by her baby pages, so I kind of let her go by the wayside for a while. But now that you've reminded me about Glitter Girl, I might have to check out the latest videos and see what Glitter Girl's been up to!

I love GG. No way I could watch at work - I'd be unemployed, too. I usually have to wait until the weekend.

I'm not scrapping baby pages either, but I love her lessons on design and why she chooses the colors/placement/design for her pages. Very informative! I like that app she mentioned a couple weeks ago for color matching photos/pp and have played around with it some already.

it's bad enough that I'm here instead of working. GG will have to wait. Thanks for the reminder, though.

It doesn't really matter to me when her pages have baby pics on them. Most of her page layouts would work regardless of what the subject matter of the pictures was. Keep the style and change up the papers and embellishments and it's a whole different page. I think her current layouts don't really scream "baby" even when they do have pics of her kid on them. I've been following along ever since she started back up doing them again and I've really enjoyed all of them. I never watched any when she had them at the old site but might queue them up on on the smart tv the next time I have people over to scrap.

^^^ I agree that her page style, layering techniques, and paper choices are pretty versatile... I hadn't checked out her blog in quite a while, though, and really didn't have any idea that she herself was doing glitter girl videos again. I will definitely check them out!!

I was actually kinda bummed with that video...it was a great video, don't get me wrong, it just wasn't what I had expected when I started to watch it. I think there needs to be clarification on the type of layering being mentioned in the video. I was hoping for PAPER layering not embellishment clusters which is what the video was focused on. I think both are great topics, but I watched under the idea of one thing and got something else.

Shimelle was "Glitter Girl" long before 2Ps. I doubt that 2Ps paid for rights to use the name and that is what Shimelle has "signed off" as for a very long time!

Please let me know where to see these videos I think there are links to her YouTube channel on her website Shimelle.com and once you click on one to watch you can subscribe to her channel from there so you get updates when she adds new ones.

I wish she would do more layouts with more variety of picture sizes. I have seen a few of larger or multiple photos, but so often she uses one 4 x 6 or smaller. I love her thought process though. Not too long ago she put a pink and gold paper together that I just could not watch. I had to fast forward it because the colors she was using made me go back to the 70's. I do look forward to watching the new one each week and also have been watching the old ones.

The latest video out is about multiple photos on one page but actually has a quite a bit of paper layering advice - more than her video about layering that was actually about embellishment groupings! She didn't focus on layering specially, but she does mention her philosophy of making the layers look like you've just gathered a bunch of papers off your desk and brought them close together but you haven't straightened them yet.

I haven't seen this week's page and I have a ton of 5 x 7's to use in an album.

I laughed to myself when I noticed that (still not done...stopped a few hours ago at the 20 minute mark and haven't been able to sit and watch the rest, yet) and was like 'that's what LAST WEEK was supposed to be!'

I haven't watched her new videos. I don't have baby pages either but I am sure they will still have something of interest in them.

I LOVED Glitter Girl's layering video. It always makes my day to see a new one of her layouts. They are wonderful to run in the background while I'm playing around in my craft room. I haven't scrapbooked 12x12 in forever, but all her videos have me itching to get back in to it.
