I hope he is healed enough and prepared for life 'on the run'.

LOL, hop2! They are the most amazing and smart creatures. I sense a new Pixar sequel to Finding Nemo and Finding Dory in his future...

I kind of cheered when I heard this on television this morning. What a clever character. I hope he made it.

I have affectionately nicknamed my crotchety old boss at the paper "inkyboss". I've gotten texts today asking if he's still here.
Not a fan of the animal itself, though. it's like a snake x 8.

"Please be careful - he's heavily armed." This may be the best line I've ever heard on here.

DS and I were cheering earlier when we heard this story on the news. We all love the "innocent prisoner breaks free" storyline!

I read this earlier and then wasted time reading about octopi and other cephalopods on the internet. So fascinating!

This story just proves to me how smart animals really are! Just love that he made the move at the right time and what a brave or desperate soul. Live free my friend

Did anyone's inner voice say "You go, Dude! Run for your life! Don't look back!"

Did anyone's inner voice say "You go, Dude! Run for your life! Don't look back!" Absolutely And a little prayer that he's up to the task of finding his own food. But it seems he's smart enough haha

Did anyone's inner voice say "You go, Dude! Run for your life! Don't look back!" Absolutely And a little prayer that he's up to the task of finding his own food. But it seems he's smart enough haha He seems pretty smart if he knew how to escape and then make it to the open ocean. I hope he can find food for himself. I hope he lives happily ever after in the open ocean and dies an old man. He will probably find a cave somewhere to hide in and will only come out to eat and breed which is a pretty good life for an octopus!
