I need ideas! My sister and I want to do something special. My mom is young at heart. She likes to walk, read, travel and eat good food. She is a very social person and her and my dad have a trip booked to India for the fall.

Does she have a good pedometer, I only ask because if she likes to walk they are fun to bring on vacations to see how active or how many miles you have walked. Not a big 75 birthday block buster gift but for $40 they are quite nice to have. Does she have an ipad or Surface, those are also handy to have for traveling. You could send her on a trip at home..like a staycation to explore areas closer to home.
Sorry not much help but hopefully someone else will have a grand idea.

Does she have nice luggage? We bought MIL a big Tutto suitcase for Christmas the year before she started going on a bunch of elderhostel trips and she loved it! The four spinner wheels and U shaped handle make it so easy to pull along and other stuff can be stacked on top.

You could surprise her with a family photo session...

Even though I'm not close to 75 (yet), all my kids are grown and have their own families. The last thing in the world I want is more "stuff". I'm trying to get rid of a lot of the stuff I have collected over the years. What I do love is spending time with my daughters. Could you and your sister plan a special girls trip with your mom for a few days? Last year for my birthday my daughters and I went to a beach resort for 3 days, it was a trip I will always treasure.
