I rarely find the need to put my hair up outside of my home. I do have a tie on the shift bar in my vehicle for an urgent need. Other than that I mostly just use a hair clip at home..

My mom bought almost identical bracelets for all her grand daughters Easter baskets this year. She paid $2 at a wholesale jewelry show (they retail for $25). They all like them, and haven't had any problem with the hair ties getting stretched out. I'm sure you could find something cheaper on Etsy or Ebay.

My hair is always up. I think this would be kind of cute...you know the elastic ribbon hair bands? Those would be almost a decorative addition that you could use to match your outfits. And I see a lot of the young girls wearing them on their wrists almost like bracelets anyway. Like these:

I store them on my zipper in my bag, like a zipper pull, they're so not noticeable I almost never remember I have extra. I think I used one once to fix a sign my friend's cold broke, it was for a puppet show, hanging from an A frame and she broke a zip tie, so we used a hair tie to put the sign back up. They also make it easy to zip my bag :-)

I own approximately 759 billion black hair ties. And I keep them everywhere. But I do not keep one on my wrist. So I don't have a need for the bracelet, no matter the cost. But I do think they are clever and look nice. Side story: recently DH was going shopping for me, and I mentioned that I needed him to pick up a few hair items for a raffle basket for school. He came home with several items, including 2 different varieties of hair ties in rainbow colors. I jokingly commented that he obviously had fun buying the items. he told me that after seeing me use nothing but black hair ties for all of these years, he was shocked to find out that they come in all of those colors. He had no idea, LOL! So I started to explain to him that I only buy black because they match my hair (only, while that reason was absolutely true 20-30 years ago, my hair is now quite a good percent gray in the front and only really dark in the back). Well, DH didn't even let me finish my statement before he started laughing his butt off at me about the hair ties "matching" my hair anymore. Oh, he had a good time with that one. Brat.

It's an interesting idea but I think the bracket with the black band on it looks tacky and cheap.

I would buy one - IF - there was a way to change out the rubber band part when it gets too stretchy. Now if there was a way to do this with my Blax Rubberbands, then I for sure would be in. For what it is, as it is? My tops price would be about $25.00 You can use whatever rubber band you want with the bracelet. The just include one for appearance, I would assume. Now I have to look up Blax Rubberbands. Am I going to need them? I love Blax. I get the clear ones. I first saw them on The Small Things Blog. My hair is long and super thick and these work so well for me without stretching so quickly and they aren't so obvious. I buy mine on Amazon, but I think Sephora and maybe Ulta have them.

Nope. I have hair bands in my desk (surpringly they seem to walk) in my handbag and in my car. I can't have things round my wrists at work, and have managed pretty well without this.

I can buy a LOT of ties for that price. I just keep spares in my little cosmetic bag in my purse, a couple in my gym bag, and a couple in the console of my car. No need to have one on my wrist.

I actually ordered one for DD for Christmas. I ordered the one with the floral ends and they sent the plain one. It wasn't well made--the silver wasn't smooth and had defects. I sent it back and didn't request a replacement. The quality just wasn't worth the price.

I saw this bracelet online several months ago and (like you) thought it was an ingenious idea. However when I clicked the link and saw the price, I said "no thanks"!! It is too expensive for what it is. My DD is constantly wearing the hair ties around her wrist and I was thinking of the bracelet for her but she would tell me "why do I need it?" We both just keep a stash in lots of places-- car, desk, bathroom, etc. So, while I think the idea is a great one, I will pass until and unless they come up with a super cheap (but nice looking) budget version of these.

Becky, is this a real product or a hoax? My coworker and I used to talk about getting an IV full of coffee to keep us going all day. If there really is such a thing as a caffeine patch, count me in! Lexica, it's absolutely for real! The patches they are going to use for the bracelet are FDA-approved from an American company, according to the bracelet website: Joule website, which is a Canadian company. Separate from the bracelet product I've seen a couple of reviews for caffeine patches. They seem to work just fine. No jolt like when you slam back a cup of coffee, but smooth, even, delivery. A couple of companies that I know of sell them now, I think others are coming on the market really soon. Here is a review of the Spot-On brand. So you don't really need the bracelet to get and wear a caffeine patch, but I suppose if it's summer and you want to go sleeveless, the bracelet would be a good way to go. Otherwise they look like a big band-aid, so I kind of like the bracelet idea.
