"The way women envisioned" There are plenty of men who support recognizing that not only men had a hand in building our country.

It's really sad that a musical has an influence on keeping currency the same. I know it has brilliant reviews and everything, but REALLY?

I would rather keep Hamilton and get rid of Jackson. We've waited this long. What's a few more years.
We have had women on coins so we haven't been ignored entirely.

Yet another tempest in a teapot. Other than Hamilton, all of the other currency has former presidents on it. I think we should just have historically important presidents on the currency and forget the who gender bullshit.

However, in my circle, the women seemed excited about the possibility, while men were "meh." ..the men in my circle did not object to having a woman on a bill, but did not see it as something to think important, one way or the other.

Why NOT have another woman on the currency? I don't think it a tempest in a teapot. I do think that with time it may become irrelevant anyway as we move away from actual cash.

I agree that Jackson needs to go anyway, and better that it's on the 20, it's more common.
Jackson was a racist, murderer. He should not be honored in any way.

Am I the only one (or only female) who doesn't give a flying fig about who is on my money? Putting a woman on a bill affects my life in no way, shape, or form. It isn't going to legitimize women in history and after a year or so, nobody is going to care.

Still, I don't see all the upset over who is on our money.

Benjamin Franklin wasn't a president either. I agree with you - we should just have historically important presidents on the currency.

Women face real problems. This just isn't one of them.

I don't think about who is on my money at all. I don't even know if i could correctly tell you who is on each US bill. So since I obviously don't see it as a huge honor, I don't feel any emotion over who is or is not on the bills.

Meh - we have a woman on our twenty, our thousand, and all of our coins. It hasn't done anything to ameliorate women's issues.
