I have always been an a.m shower taker. I like to start the day off feeling clean. As I'm getting older, I don't always sleep well and I have a hard time getting up and getting myself out the door. The whole process of getting ready - hair, makeup, choosing the outfit - oy! It seems like taking a shower at night would make life easier, and I could sleep a bit later. I'm finding it a really hard habit to change, though! So, when do you shower?

I get a quick shower at the Y after my work-out in the morning (don't wash and redo my hair - just body shower). Then I get a full shower at night since I use hair paste and can't go to sleep with junk in my hair and the rest of me is completely scrubbed clean.

I am an evening shower-er. For several reasons...I had long hair for a long time and my hair is also quite thick and naturally curly, to shower in the morning and dry to get it dry and styled to go to school or work would have require several hours and simply wasn't practical. Even leaving it wet wasn't an option as it would just frizz if it wasn't dried correctly. Then I started nursing - no way was I going to do all of *that* during the day and take it to bed with me! Again it made much more sense to scrub the day off...no matter what time my shift finished and go to bed all nice and clean & germ free and smelling good. Even though it became a habit for practical reasons thinking about it I actually prefer it, I like that I go to bed totally clean and fresh. Even though I have much shorter hair now, it is still too much work to wash it in the mornings, it ends up looking better if I wash it at night and 'flatten it out' naturally while sleeping, then it takes 1/4 of the time to style vs if I have to wash and dry it straight away.

Evening. We have to be out of the door at 5:45 to make it to work in the big city on time, and I am not a morning person. I get everything ready the night before, take a shower, fix my hair, etc. In the morning all I have to do is fall out of bed, put on clothes, stumble to the car, and ride. By the time I get to the office, I am usually starting to wake up. Usually. Maybe not so much today.

Morning - there are five of us and one shower so the kids shower in the evening and my dh and I shower in the morning.

I voted 'night', but that's not completely correct. I rarely 'shower' at all. I'm a bath person, and only shower when a bath is not an option. A nice soak in a warm tub is so relaxing, and I don't like taking the day's 'dirt' to bed with me at night.

I can't wake up unless I shower first thing in the morning.

I've always preferred to shower/bathe at night. Much better to go to bed clean, and it relaxes me as well.

In the morning. I sometimes sweat at night, plus my hair needs to be freshly washed and dried so as not to frighten people. I wouldn't feel clean in the morning if I didn't shower.

I was a sworn morning shower person, but, as I get older sometimes I do shower at night. Sometimes I will shower/wash my hair at night, then just do a quick rinse in the morning. inam flexible, but, I never thought I would change my meaning shower routine.

At night. Lots of reasons.
I will not get into bed dirty. Gross.
I have to take my makeup off at night.
If I'm washing my hair that day, it will take all night to dry.
Showering takes at least 30-45 minutes between the actual shower, applying oil at the end, letting the oil absorb, applying lotion, letting lotion absorb, and dealing with my wet hair. I don't have time for that in the morning. Plus I don't want to put on clothes after the oil and lotion moisturizing process.
I still feel clean when I wake up in the morning. I don't see the point of a morning shower.

In the morning, wakes me and clears my sinuses. I have bad allergies and feel stuffed up all day if I don't shower and steam in the morning. Also I have wavy hair so I just wash, brush and let it dry naturally very low maintenance. By the time I have showered, gotten the kids up, breakfast and lunches made and head out the door my hair is dry, Sometimes if it is really hot out I will have a quick rinse shower at night.

Due to the insane amount of hair that I have I have to shower at night. My hair lady says I have about 6 times the amount of hair as a normal person. I wash it at night and it is still wet in the morning, in the center. If I wash it in the morning it is still wet in the center probably 14 or 15 hours later. It takes an hour to blowdry and it is like straw if I try. So I just wash it about 8:30 and go to bed with it wet.
I've always wanted to be one of those people who shower in the morning but it's just not possible.

AM. Despite have bra strap length hair and putting on full makeup, I like the way it wakes me up. Plus no matter what I do (cool room, tons of dry shampoo), I hate the way my scalp feels in the AM. Icky, icky, icky.
For the record, I am up by 4:45 and ready to go by 6.

I have always been primarily a nighttime showerer because I would be unable to sleep if I didn't. I have missed exactly 2 night showers in my life--the day I had my son, and the day I had inpatient surgery. I can't imagine going to bed covered in the dirt of the day. Symbolically I like to wash away the day and be ready for the next.
In the last year or so, I have taken 2 showers a day. My night shower and then my shower after I go for my daily walk where I wash my hair and shave my legs.

Morning. I feel dirtier getting out of bed than I do at the end of the day and my hair is a mess when I get up so it needs washing.

Both I need the "wake me up" aspect in the mornings. I like to end the day with a shower to help me settle in for the night. Funny how it has 2 totally different effects on me depending on the time of day!!

I get up at 5:15 am and I don't drink coffee. I have to shower in the morning to wake up. I have shoulder length, fine textured hair that takes like 7 minutes to dry and style to my liking. If I go to the gym I will have a quick spray off, especially if I swim that day.

All 5 of us shower in the mornings before we head out for the day. I sweat at night and my hair is a flat nasty mess when I get up...and even if I've showered the night before. There's no way to recover it. I do sometimes shower both in the morning and at night, especially in the summer or if I've put in an afternoon workout and am feeling grungy.

At night. I started when I had kids. I have to be out the door at 7:00, so I was having to get up way too early to get my shower in. My hair is long and thick and takes forever to blow dry. I can shower at night and mostly let it air dry and then just fix it in the mornings.

I'm a SAHM so time isn't so much of a factor for me I shower really in the morning though because I still need to be done before getting the dd's off to school ... The only time I shower later are days when I have an event in the evening like Book Club or the ballet ... then I wait until the afternoon ...

Morning. It's a huge part of my wake up process. Plus I turn into a furnace at night, even though I sleep on top of the covers with a fan on me, so it's necessary.
