While we were in NOLA a friend made a dish and said it was from Commander's Palace. One of the ingredients was popcorn rice. Anyone heard of it or use it? I hope she sends me the recipe because it was to die for. She also sauted Black Drum fish fillets. Neither DH or I were familiar with it but it was also yummy.

Popcorn rice is usually from Louisiana sometimes called Cajun rice. Not so easy to come by up here in my area but it's on Amazon.
I had it awhile ago, med grain, not too different in taste but different in aroma. I liked it but my pickys prefer jasmine rice and if I'm really going to argue with the pickys about rice I prefer a nice dark brown rice.
