I have on the stove Burmese coconut chicken curry, white rice and steamed broccoli. Just waiting for DH to be done with work so we can eat together.

Yesterday. It turned out that our son had to go directly from his sailing team to the baseball field. That means that the spaghetti carbonara that we were going to eat last night is being made tonight. At least it's easy!

So far, all I've done is pour a glass of wine! But I think it's going to be the rest of the chicken fried rice for DS, and maybe cottage cheese and raw veggies for me. Boring, but it will get some food out of the fridge.

I had a text from DD late in the afternoon to say that her boyfriend was coming for dinner. I didn't have anything planned so I had to arrange double the food that I'd normally make because, well, 19yo boy!
I made 2 different pastas: tortellini carbonara and chilli linguine with tomato, bacon and salami. Plus garlic bread to pad it out a bit.

I made Asian BBQ chicken legs in the crock overnight, so I stir-fried up some veggies when I got home to go with the chicken.
I'm calling it Asian BBQ because I made a BBQ sauce, had DS taste it to see what it needed before I put it on the chicken in the crock, and was told "how about a little five spice?" The BBQ sauce: tomato paste cayenne worcestershire sauce brown sugar black pepper red wine vinegar garlic five spice
