Tai went from zero (after last week's antics) to hero. I loved how Tai looked over his shoulder when Scot was speaking to him, like he had no clue what he was talking about. Hahaha. And then he found his backbone and said "no". Awesome episode that I was fearing would be a turning point to a predictable end of the season. Now it's open season again.

Jason tweeted a picture of himself at home with the idol a couple weeks ago. He's apparently been told by CBS to stop tweeting spoilers or he won't be paid for being on the show or for being at the reunion show.
On the other hand, CBS posted a picture last week that clearly showed Jason wearing the immunity necklace.

Omg, I kind of forgot that the idol was actually Jason's. That makes it even more awesome that Scott left with it. I agree with what Cydney said on tonight's episode--they forget who actually made even finding that idol possible...HER! So, I have to agree with a few others; Aubrey is playing the best game. She is really thinking things through, she's taking chances, she's reading people VERY well, she's shmoozing and buttering people up a bit and she's performing amazing at challenges. Honestly, anyone who didn't play for the advantage isn't playing the game for real, so that leaves Tai, Cydney, and Aubrey. Even though none of those three are one of my players in the pool (my dd and dh have Michele and Julia; I lost my player, Caleb, very unfairly!), it's one of those three that deserve to win. Dalton's Q&A is already up; you can check it out here (as you can imagine, he's as giddy as we are over what transpired at TC). Ponderosa footage isn't available yet; I'll have to check back tomorrow.

I am so glad that big dumb lunk went home with that idol in his pocket. No, it's even better than that, he went home with Jason's idol in his pocket That's pretty much the best thing that could have happened to both of them.
Now Jason has no idol and they've they lost the power of the super idol.
ETA: I just saw your post above, I answered before I read that...but yes when Scott pulled out the idol and said Jason gave it to him, that was a pretty sweet moment!

I was sitting watching and yelling at Tai to make a stand. I had a good feeling from his face when Jason and Scott were doing their oafish antics - we aren't going home etc and crossed my fingers. brilliant that Jason now has no idol

Best TC ever. I am totally gunning for Aubry or Tai to win, and hope that they face off against Jason at the end, because there is no way Jason is going to have the sympathy of the jury.
I wonder sometimes... are people like Scot and Jason following all the audience response to themselves, and understanding how much the world thinks they are dicks?

If these people had any insight into their own personalities, then they wouldn't behave like this in the first place. Evidenced by Scott rewriting history in his little speech and then claiming they were now behaving like the "bigger people"

I shrieked and whooped and hollered and replayed it. My husband was pretty amused by me but that was an epic Tribal. I hated that dick!

That was AWESOME!!!
Scot just expecting Tai to give him his idol was so bloody arrogant. I'm glad Tai gave him the proverbial finger. Not only that, it's delicious that Scot left with Jason's idol bwhahaha.
who's got all the power now??? Hahaha..omg...it was brilliant.
On on another note, I think I preferred the years where nobody could discuss votes or anything at tribal. Now, they just let them talk before voting and after. I liked it better when they couldn't scheme during tribal.

That was such a great move by Tai. I didn't think he had it in him. Aubry inspired him to get his head in the game, and he listened. She is really playing a great social and physical game. I can't wait to see the fallout from this tribal next week. Will Jason have a temper tantrum, or does he have the sense to keep his mouth shut and show some humility?

I don't get why Scott didn't hand Jason the idol when he left. Did he not give it to him because he was so shocked? Did he spitefully keep it? Has there ever been a season when TWO idols went home in people's pockets? Or did Tai have both of them in his hand? I thought I saw them hand their idol to Tai during tribal?
I am glad Tai managed to go with his true nature and move away from those jerks. And I liked the way Aubrey talked him into it. So different from Scott's approach to her. Or to anyone.
So Tai has at least one idol and a second vote he can use. Looks like a good bet for the final three.
Which two of the others, do you think? (I'd like to think the best players would go through, and not that strong players would drag weak ones along to increase their own chances)
Either way, final three?
Scot was not allowed to hand back the idol. He had it during tribal and rules state you can't trade off an idol (except for the new super idol) after the votes. He also didn't play it and got voted out so he had to keep it. In China, James had both idols and didn't play them. He got sent home that night. Pretty sure scot/Jason's idol will be put back into the game and rehidden because we aren't at final four yet.

Even is she decides to pick a side, it's probably pointless....there isn't much time left in the game to prove her loyalty to one side or the other.

I don't think they showed that Jason gave his idol to Scot, until the exit interview at the end after Scot was cut loose from the game. Jason had individual immunity though, so instead of rock-paper-scissoring for it like they did last week, it made sense that he would just give it to Scot.
Too bad, so sad.

I don't get why Scott didn't hand Jason the idol when he left. I would assume that's why Jeff makes a point of always saying "you must hand in your torch and leave tribal area immediately". A way of preventing things like that from happening.

I thought I had 2 previous episodes on the DVR but somehow it missed recording the episode where Nick got voted off. Since they do the whole "previously on Survivor" each time, I was able to catch up for the most part. Anyway, that was the best Tribal Council last night ever as others have mentioned. Loved that Tai didn't give up his idol. Awesome play! Maybe nice guys don't always finish last after all! Ha ha!

That's what I'm hoping, but can we speculate.... Tai has an idol, he's good for at least one more week Jason- he's such a hot head and may blow steam next week, but who's is going to vote for him. Aubrey is smart enough to know that she'd want him in the final 3. Does anybody else get evacuated out this season? Also if it comes down to Tai and Aubrey, I don't know if her fellow players will know how wonderfully strategic she's been-yes, they know she's smart-but until they watch it, I don't know if they will give her as much credit as she deserves or if they will see Tai's one big move as more deserving of the title. I don't think the road to the end will be at all predictable.

I'd love this to be the final 3, but think Aubrey deserves the win more than Tai at this point. She was a beast in the challenge last night and successfully brought Tai back over to the light. Are idols brought back into the game if they are taken out unused? Both Scot and Neil left with idols in their pockets and I thought it was only if an idol is used at TC it is rehidden back at camp. I found Scot's Ponderosa clip on Youtube, but it isn't showing yet at CBS. There is a different, shorter clip there. Self-awareness is not a strength for Scot . To paraphrase, he thinks they voted him out because he was a threat (which makes no sense to him), but at least he wasn't a jerk . My favorite moment last night was Michele winning the food over Scot & Jason. Joe has to go down as the least interesting or competitive Survivor ever. In a couple of weeks, I'm picturing Jeff saying something like "congratulations on making it to the final 4" and Aubrey, Tai & Cydney looking around saying, "but, Jeff, there is only 3 of us left". Jeff will point out that Joe is still here and they will shake their heads in disbelief, realizing Joe is not a member of the production crew and is actually one of them.

Yesterday after he won immunity he tweeted something like how do you haters like me now. So he knows about at least some of the hate.

When Jeff gave Julia her letters from home, he told her to wait to read them until she was alone back at camp. I immediately wondered if there was a clue to a hidden immunity idol in with the letters. We didn't see her opening a clue so I guess I was wrong. But if Julia had the same thought, then her choice could have been more strategic than we're giving her credit for.

Darn, why didn't I think to look on YouTube for the ponderosa footage. That was smart bc2ca! I was getting frustrated when I couldn't find it on CBS.com. It does appear that the full video is there now. You can click here to see it. You are right about Scot being clueless. One of the first things he said was what you alluded to "I should be flattered they blindsided me. That means they think i'm a threat. I know it's not because I'm a jerk, because I'm not." ooooookaaaay Scot, you keep telling yourself that. Other evidence of his cluelessness was when he lamenting Tai not sticking with him. He said that he trusted Tai and wanted to go to the final three with him--"guess he didn't want that". Sorry Scot, we heard your final three plan and it included Julia not Tai. Of course he could say they were lying to Julia, but I don't buy it. What they said made sense and was more in line with who they are. No way would they beat Tai in the final three but one of them could very likely beat Juliea. It was also shocking that Scot lost 46 pounds. I guess his large frame can handle that, but it's the most lost so far for sure. Of course Debbie will probably say she lost 46 pounds too. After all, she's already lying about her finishing weight--so weird. The only humanizing moment with Scot was when he read his letter from his sister. She's apparently very ill and she has three daughters. He was pretty overcome by that. Of course it doesn't change what an ass he was in the game, but I still felt sadness for him. Yeah, as others have mentioned, they definitely showed Jason handing Scot his HII back at camp, before TC. Tai saw that and probably thought, yes! Here's my chance! I'm still in shock that he went through with it--shocked and thrilled. I just had a thought though, I wonder if this funky reward challenge is going to replace the survivor auction, because that's the place people usually have a chance to bid for food, letters from home, or an advantage. I bet it will and that bums me out because I LOVE the auction.
