I am on the PTO and have volunteered to organize a "treasure" box that would have small items in it for the teachers. The box would be in the teachers lounge and each day I will put new/different items in the box. So far I have purchased: Post it notes Sharpies Hand sanitizer Dry erase markers Do you guys have any suggestions on what else you would put in the treasure box?

Packs of stickers Fun colored pens (not blue, black, or red) Cute clips (paper clips in fun colors or the bigger clamp type clips in fun colors or patterns) Scented markers Glue sticks-Elmer's not bobo brand
For things like the sharpies and post its try and have colors that are outside of the norm.
For each one you could come up with a cute sign like for the sharpies teachers make a permanent mark on our hearts Clips-teachers keep it all together Post it notes-we are stuck on the staff of _____

Anything edible, single serving size and storable is always apreciated. There are many Times you just need a quick snack and school lunch is a horror that no one should have to partake in. Lara bars and Luna bars are delicious, instant coffee, tea, even bags of good crackers would be nice

Such great ideas! We are doing a big lunch for them on Friday and a daily food treat. We also have some prizes for raffles. I like the idea of coverage during a duty. Might have to run that by the other ladies.

At the high school the kids are making banners and posters. We will hang them up Friday night for the staff to walk in to see on Monday am. Monday we do doughnuts, coffee and fruit. Wedensday we are doing grilled chesse bar and salad. Friday we are doing a nacho bar
We will have the daily raffles.
We might do popcorn in their boxes one day, not sure yet.
As for decorations we made a fabric banner and use it as the background. Each day we hang up something diffrent. We also invested in tablecloths school colors and have used them for several years. Monday will be a banner that says we donut know what we'd do with out you.
Wedensday we will hang a chalkboard and write up the menu with a cute picture. The tables will have flowers and the staff can enter to take them home. My husband makes reclaimed flower boxes from pallet wood and we place numerous potted plants in them. Usally a local garden store will dontae them. The staff loves them.
Friday will be numerous sized photo frames with cute quotes hung in front of the fabric wall. The tables will have basil and rosemary plants on pallet trays, the staff will be able to enter to win them.
Simple, cheap but impactful. We do this week for 800 for 150 staff members. Parents donate desserts & drinks.

Last year, we passed out blank note paper to kids. They wrote a message to the teacher. We collected the notes in a canning jar and I decorated it with a pretty ribbon & tag. These were 1st graders. We also had each kid bring a flower (and got extras for kids who maybe couldn't get one or didn't get one) and they all handed them to the teacher. The room moms got vases at Goodwill or dollar store and put them together as a bouquet.

We were just joking in the lounge today about how little it takes to get us excited ... PTO had filled the big coffee pot and put out a selection of flavored creamers, and had three or four different kinds of grocery store cookies. Party in the lounge! You would have thought it was the day before spring break.
Seriously, my kingdom for a pack of post-it notes today. And some nice Ticonderoga pencils. So I'd vote for those.
