So I set up the thread for the challenges.
Hopefully when May starts we can have a daily thread to record reactions, creations, and encouraging comments.
But since I asked that we not comment in the Challenges/Prompts thread, I thought I would start this one so people can do, say, whatever in response to the May TYS experience.
I will be working on the LOAD activities, but will be doing this too. May have a little overlap, but I really see the two as completely different. This one will help me keep putting all the photos on pages.
Hoping I can finish at least as many pages for this as I do for LOAD. No pressure.

Thank you - I love the idea of a daily thread!
I'm trying to decide between working on a travel album (either our January trip to Chicago or my mum's Germany trip - I already have photos printed for both) or working on the family album...maybe I'll do a little of both

Last night I came up with some goals. I would like to finish up some layouts that need titles and journaling. I don't know how many there are. Could be 2. Could be 20. Then I need to buy new albums and page protectors for the stack of layouts that have no home right now. I have pictures for 18 layouts and I'd like to complete those. After that I will start editing a big batch of pictures. Hopefully about a years worth of pictures. I can't decide if that sounds doable or crazy. Thanks again, grammadee!

grammadee - Thanks for getting us all started. Since I have dedicated myself to organizing for the month of April, I will be ready to scrap away come May. I would have loved to do LOAD, but I will be away for 10 days in April (for my loooooong camping trip) so I would not have been able to keep up with actually doing the project they day of the prompt. This event you are organizing here seems to be a little more flexible as far as the actually daily output. My Goals: Finish up those last 15 or so Courthouse pages (that I didn't finish at Calvinball) Pick up where I left off on the Home Sweet Home project (that I put aside to concentrate on the Courthouse layouts during Calvinball) Other than those two main goals, it will be to scrap, scrap and scrap whatever else I need to get scraped. Looking forward to playing along with you ladies.

I would like to join, Also cannot do a layout a day...as I am a NannyGrammy and work 10+ hours per day chasing a toddler. BUT would love to be inspired to scrap weekends...
I am going to a weekend retreat 4-29 thru 5-1, plan to work on granddaughter books.
so for May, Goals are:
1) work on grandsons books
2) mini album for dd's mil (she requested one of their Napa trip)
I will have a crop at my house on Sat the 14th, so can use the prompts as inspiration that day. (Unless I am too busy 'hosting' to crop. or have too many beginners I will need to coach.)
4-28 edited to add a new goal...a Memorial book for my father in law

Thank you so much for getting us started and on our way!! I'm going to actually start an album for my puppy (he will be 2 in August). My other two dogs have a join album and I have wanted to do an album documenting my puppy and his training journey. This year we are going to show him so this is a pretty long and involved journey for a dog that is known as 'goofball puppy'

I'd really like to stay on top of my PL (so far I seem to be working on it monthly and just catching up on all the weeks to that point) and I want to work on my vacation albums.
My goal is to get 15 layouts done for the month.

I need to keep working on my grandson's album. I managed to do just under 30 pages at the weekend crop Apr 22-24. Got about half of the pages done that I have photos and stories for. Not sure if I will start in January and work forward, or start with the latest photos and work backword.

I'm going on vacation, so I'll return with a load of photos from the river cruise to sort through and determine which to print for a scrapbook. Because I'm also working on converting all of my mom's slides to prints in a scrapbook for Christmas, I really need to find one of those 300 prints for $30 shipped deals. By May 15, I'll be looking at more than 1000 photos to print.

I spent a bit of time in my craft space today, and I think my first goal needs to be some major organization! I've got piles everywhere, and I started stripping the wallpaper in the basement (one large room that is part craft room and part playroom). I'm to the point with the wallpaper where I need to move my desk, and I hesitate to do that with all the piles of stuff everywhere! Goals: -major organization - desk, closet, and expedit -memorabilia - thorough organization/consolidation - I want to go through all DS's preschool stuff for sure, and decide on a long-term storage plan; everything else at least organized so I can find stuff -order remaining photos for 2 LOs that are finished otherwise -finish Old Town LO on my desk - it has been sitting there since February! -come up with a better way to organize/store my homemade page kits - and ideally finish off 1-2 kits leftover from Calvinball -complete 20 LOs Thanks for organizing this - I always do better when I actually write down some goals for a set time-frame!

Thanks to everyone for posting ideas and challenges. I am finally scrapping and hoping to continue scrapping. I did stuff for challenges but have yet to actually take a photo and post to the challenge - I hope to do that this weekend. Looking forward to doing some of these challenges as well. Not sure what my goal is other than to keep scrapping and actually accomplish something.

My goal for the month is to:
- organize my everyday life albums, getting the first 2 albums in order - work on page kits I've put together and including some Christmas layouts.
If I could get at least 20 pages done, I'd be super happy.

(No surprise there - it's so much more fun to make pages!)

Hmmm, so far I really suck. I have not made any progress on my PL which means I am now even further behind and I've only completed 4 layouts this month. I clearly better get my skates on if I'm to stand a chance of meeting my goals.

Almost halfway through the month; how is everyone doing? Thanks for asking!
As of this morning, I have completed 15 12x12 pages for dgs's album. This surprised me, because I have been busy doing other things and really didn't think I had averaged one page per day.
Still have several months in that book to finish. I may do another couple of pages for February, but I really NEED to move on to March & April. This was supposed to be an overview album of his first year with us, but I keep looking at all the great photos and thinking about all the cool things he has experienced with us, and I just keep adding pages...
Have also done 10 journal pages for LOAD, using their prompts. Having been using that as an excuse to PLAY rather than get something finished.

Making good progress. Hoping to get caught up for 2016 in the family album and finish or at least get close on the Chicago album by the end of the month. [I've decided that I need to do this again NEXT month as well]

If I could get at least 20 pages done, I'd be super happy. hahahahaha.... I, per usual, overestimated what I could get accomplished. Hubs is constantly telling me about this flaw of mine. I got part way through 1 album in the organization. I've finished 8 pages of my page kits, which is super good for me. I didn't have the ATC swap on my radar when I posted here originally or the 5 cards for the catechism graduates for next Sunday. So the pages will go away tomorrow, cards and ATC's will take over my next week. I'll really need to up my game if I want to hit 20 pages, but the album organization is probably not happening (oh, and the pocket pages I did for that project don't count in my pages done count).
