Is Passover!!!!! So Thursday is my normal shopping day. But it's been hard since I went back to work. Some weeks I get it done some weeks I put it off. So tonight I'm laying there exhausted saying to myself I don't really feel like shopping today maybe I'll just do it tomorrow. Then I get a text from my DD at college she was eating her last 'bread' dinner. And I'm like OMG expletive!! And it dawns on me Passover and the Seder is tomorrow!!! I HAVENT EVEN PLANNED THE SEDER!!!! And I have to go to my DS's performance in 90 mins. too! So I go shopping, to the FAR market because ours has nothing for Passover. I'm walking down the Passover aisle flinging ( literally flinging ) Passover stuff into my cart. Trying to remember which things they like and which they don't. So now I've got 'stuff' for Passover ( hopefully enough ) but I have NOTHING planned, not one note, not one list nothing. And I have to work tomorrow. A few years ago DS altered an excel meal planner into a Passover excel one sheet for the Seder and 1 sheet for the rest of the 8 days. I usually fill it out beginning of March Oh and I don't have a shank bone yet! I told the kids I should have frozen the one from last year. A tip I read from the internet Last year and I joked about because shank bones are often free of only like 50 cents. Haha jokes on me. I guess I'm spending lunchtime tomorrow in the grocery looking for a shank bone. I can not belive I totally blew off Passover planning. It's usually the only 8 days I'm really organized all year! Where was my brain? Well there's plenty of matzo and like 4 matzo meal cakes and like 4 boxes of salad. We'll survive. Wish me luck.

Good luck. It happens to all of us. Good thing you remembered today and not tomorrow

You are organized and you will pull this off. You will. I am sure the peas would appreciate a homemade matzoh ball soup recipe (chicken base please if possible).

I am sure the peas would appreciate a homemade matzoh ball soup recipe (chicken base please if possible). well I'm using manischewitz this year! One of the things I flung into the cart. Chicken soup stock, matzo balls and chunks of chicken? Maybe a bit of celery and carrot in it? Is it still just chicken soup with matzo balls in it-if so I can make it and forward it on to you (well, photos of it anyway). For Pesach (that's Passover right?) can you eat anything but flour, although you eat fancy food for the holiday. Is tonight the big meal? (DS bff is in Mexico this week and they aren't observant really. I could ask DS but he doesn't know anything other than that his BFF likes Japanese food better. They aren't helpful young men. Calling his dad wouldn't be weird at all. His dad is totally cool and likes to educate. Do you say anything special during Passover? Can I say Happy Passover in Hebrew? )
