I'm on my way to have a very minor procedure. That means dinner will be up to dh. We have lots of leftovers and are covered. Meanwhile, I'll be enjoying a nice breakfast of yummy nighty night drugs.
What's on your menu?
Have a great day everyone.

Good luck with your procedure scrapmaven.
I am not sure as of yet. But most likely we will go out. Maybe to Red Robin, I love their turkey, avocado, bacon, lettuce, tomato croissant.

I hope that all goes well for you, scrapmaven! We'll be celebrating Earth Day by grilling a steak. I'm planning easy sides of baked potatoes and whatever pops into my hand when I look in the freezer.

scrapmaven I hope everything goes well with your procedure! We are going to a surprise bday party for one of my friends this evening at a local bar. I have never been there. It my husband has and didn't like the food. I am guessing we are each paying for what we eat so we will do leftovers here before go to the bar. We have to be on the road by 645 tomorrow to take my son to a sailing regatta so it won't be a late night!

My dad is getting out of the hospital today (hopefully!) so I think I'm going to cook some fish (crappie with lemon pepper), green beans and baked potatoes for everyone.

I have to mow my lawn (in April, OMG), so I will be in NO MOOD to cook dinner. I'm liking the idea of tomato soup, and cheese and crackers.

I wanted an easy day so I'm doctoring a package Knorr Sides-Spanish rice to make it the main dish, and I'll serve it with roasted broccoli and cauliflower, fresh strawberries and grapes, tortilla chips, and not sure about dessert. Probably texas sheet cake because we had something else last night. I hope you procedure goes smoothly, scrapmaven! Fingers crossed that your dad does get out of the hospital today, marzbar71!

thinking about you scrapmaven and hope all goes well for your procedure.
Tonight I'm going to my first ever Passover dinner. Last night I was chatting with the hostess about the menu and I'm so psyched. Sounds like it's going to be amazing food. I was a little concerned knowing gvelete fish would be served, but apparently hers is completely homemade and nothing like the gross looking jars of white stuff you see in the grocery store.

I'm not sure right now. I'm headed to our new Aldi after work and I'm hoping for inspiration as I peruse the aisles. Failing a burst of inspiration, we'll be having cereal and English muffins for dinner.

scrapmaven Hope your procedure goes smoothly and you start feeling better very soon!!
I have spaghetti, garlic bread and salad planned. We might have a baseball game tonight. We haven't heard one way or the either yet. It rained last night and early this morning, but it has stopped for now, so who knows.
If baseball is canceled we will rent a movie from Amazon or Redbox and make it a fun night since our 6 year old will be super bummed!!

I really have no idea. I have some leftover potato salad from last night. Maybe we can grill some sausages and call it good.
We usually go out on Fridays but dh has been working so hard this week he will probably want to spend a quite evening at home.

We just got a new Homechef box yesterday, so we have a few meals to choose from. DH gets to pick, and I'm thinking he is probably going to go with the Healthy Takeout Szechuan Chicken and Green Beans. We'll see!

Thank you so much for your lovely wishes. It was just a simple feeding tube change and I'm on the good drugs right now, because this one was a little more involved than usual. Life is good. If you need me I'll be recovering at Trixie Bender 's house, waiting for my dessert. Enjoy your dinner and thank you for the kindness.

scrapmaven, if you could eat it, I would make you anything you ask for. Even a pie. And I don't "do" pies. Much to dh's disappointment.

Tonight is the first night of Passover, so we are going to my parents' house for seder. Not sure if the main course will be brisket or roast chicken, but there will definitely be matzoh ball soup, hard boiled eggs, charoset, matzoh, etc.

I forgot tonight was the first night of Passover. I haven't been to a Seder since my mom moved to New Mexico 25 years ago! She's back now, but my local family has just gotten less and less observant over the years. So maybe I will make matzoh ball soup tonight in honor of Passover. I have everything here I need to make it. I'll add chicken, spinach, carrots, maybe some more veggies, to make it more of a whole meal. scrapmaven, feel better and enjoy your "happy drugs" day. leannec, happy birthday! calgal08, Good Seder to you and also jesq. newlywoods03, hope your boy doesn't get rained out tonight. We were supposed to get that rain today, too, and I can see it rained a bit overnight, but it's been dry so far today.

I have always hated gefilte fish - as you said, it's gross white stuff. But then my neighbor served me some that had been home made and it was really quite good!

I'm making split pea soup, with ham for DH and DS, without for me. And I have a fresh loaf of French bread to go with it.

I went to the football last night so it was football food (aka junk food) for me.... I had a cheese and spinach roll which sounds a lot healthier than it really is....... Spinach roll implies something like this: When in fact this is what I actually had: Oh, and hot jam donuts after the match!
