I have an iphone 6s, running ios 9.2. I used to be able to send and receive text messages while on the phone. Now I can't. They come in after I hang up. I didn't change any configuration. Can anyone tell me how to re-enable that feature? I don't care about iMessage. I've tried turning it on and off and that doesn't seem to change anything.
The more I use an iphone, the more I miss my Android. Facetime is the only thing that keeps me with Apple!

Does it have something to do with whether or not you're connected to wifi?

Our teen says you must be on WiFi, LTE, or 4G; you likely cannot receive text messages while simultaneously using the phone if only 3G is available. Also, under Cellular in Settings, you may want to choose "Voice & Data" under Enable LTE, & activate both "Voice Roaming" & "Data Roaming" under Roaming. HTH

What carrier are you on? I think on some carriers, you can only do one thing at a time on an iPhone. With AT&T it's not a problem, I know that. If you're on AT&T and having that issue, I'd take the phone to an AT&T store and see if they can figure it out.
