And if so, what is the weirdest thing they have brought you?? I have two cats but only one is a present bringer. Typically it was small things: lizards, small frogs, snakes, wild mice. He was hunting the squirrels in CA but they just laughed at him. He was very determined to get the squirrels. He's a smaller sized Maine Coon but very much the protector of the family. The other cat is bigger and lazy. I cannot keep him in as he has learned to use the doggie door when installed, or darts out the door when its open. He has mad ninja skills. This morning, Mr. Dexter left us a pigeon. The girl had opened the back door to let the dog out, and when her back was turned, the cat dragged this thing in. He was oh so proud. How he caught it, I will never know. He was polite and put it on the entry carpet instead of dragging it through the entire house. But eewwwwwww. He doesn't seem to understand that this is a vegetarian house He didn't eat it thankfully cause Im concerned about poisoning of the bird, but I really don't need these types of presents. Can't he find money or a handyman, or Jon Bon Jovi? anyone else have one of these??

Mine stay inside so I don't get gross presents. Oz brings me socks out of my dresser drawer and sometimes a stuffed Olaf that is as large as he is. Smudge doesn't bring me anything but when she used to go outside she'd often bring live snakes in the house. That was not ok.

Only one of my cats did that, but she brought home mice and the occasional bird, and once s venomous snake (there's only one kind of venomous snake here, and it's not that dangerous, but it can still kill small animals or someone with an allergy).

My little Dali brings us bra inserts! (From my youngest daughter's old beginner bras.) It's quite adorable. She meows the entire time they are in her mouth, and then drops them near us, proud as can be. Here's a pic:

None of my cats did, but they were inside, so if they did it would not be gross!
My one cat was the hunter though. When my friend and I lived in a not so clean place - we had a mouse. He sat in front of that oven until that mouse came out. All night long. Did not move once. He got him, too!

My cats don't go outside, but we have had two occasions with a mouse inside the house. Both times Ruby has gotten the mouse and brought it to me.
I have three crochet projects going on right now and I have been using all my scraps of yarn to crochet little squares (eventually they will make it to a blanket). Right now, I have a stack of them next to my couch. My cat, Rudy, enjoys playing with them. He will take them all over the house and occasionally bring them to me. I don't know why he likes playing with those little squares so much but I find them everywhere.

My mother lives out in the middle of nowhere. Her cat goes in and out via a doggie door. Gracie is always bringing my mother treasures such as mice, lizards, birds, and other little critters.

Nothing, not a darn thing. Though in his defense, he is a declawed rescue Persian so I'm pretty sure doing type of manual labor or pleasing any of his peasants is very much beneath him

My mother in law's cats are present bringers. Luckily she has a porch she lets them into first so she can inspect their mouths before letting them into the house. So when a live bird is let loose it's not in the house. But one of her cats killed a woodpecker and brought it to her! The cat had a few battle scars on him himself but somehow got that woodpecker. My cats are indoor cats so no presents for us.

My girls go outside sometimes. I have 3 but only one is really a hunter. One time, a squirrel bit her so badly that she had to go to the vet and it was $600! She has brought us rats, lizards, mice and birds. I think that's it. I tried to keep them inside but to no avail with kids constantly going in/out and of course, the dog. The other two don't seem to care about hunting. Oh that's right, she brought in a rabbit right around Easter.
The weird thing is, I nevver see these things around our property so I guess she's doing her job of keeping them away.

Ginger has tried to bring in things a few times (lizards) when he's out on the lanai, but we put a stop to that. He now has to have a "mouth" inspection before he comes inside. Miles, on the other hand... I had a loose lizard IN the house one time, and I actually tried to get him to chase it, so I could get the lizard out the door. He just looked at me, like "WTF do you want me to do with it?" What can I say, he's a lover not a fighter.

My parents received a headless rabbit (under the dining room table). I think that was the end of the cat door.

My cat is not a hunter. He wants to be but he's not. He stared down a mouse and batted it around a little and nothing... The only thing he brings me is hair and lots of it. Brushing him only seems to produce more hair.

Mine stay inside, so I'm very happy to say I don't receive any dead or injured critters as gifts. Two of them love to drag my daughter's American Girl doll clothing into my room, though. There's always a tiny little outfit on my bedroom floor.

Mine is indoor so we get socks and washcloths. Occasionally a headband. When ds lived at home she left everything in front of his bedroom door at night. She only hunts at night and starts about 15 minutes after we have gone to bed.. You know, right as we fall asleep. We know this because she howls her fool head off with pride. Someone has to get out of bed and pick up everything little that can be found. Heaven help us if I leave a laundry basket where she can get to it!

I had a cat bring me a bird, not that uncommon. But she hid it in my shoe which I did not discover until I tried putting the shoe on and my foot wouldn't go in. Ugh!

Xanthe is an indoor cat, but she will bring me her toys, and paper balls she gets out of the trash and drop them on my face when I'm sleeping.
It's super fun. :/

I got a mouse and a snake yesterday, and neither cat was outside. When they've been outside, I get all the usual mice, moles, voles, squirrels, chipmunks, bunnies, snakes, birds, and one live woodpecker that got loose inside and pooped purple all over my house. My female cat is the better hunter, and she brings me all the "big" game. It's so crazy because she's so tiny and only 5 pounds.

We no longer have a cat, but in years past when we had a wooded, large lot and could let the cats out, I was gifted with a chipmunk once. It ran behind my piano, and we had a difficult time getting it out and back outside.
On another occasion, I was given a mouse while sleeping!! I screamed and threw the covers and bolted out of bed! DH thought I was having a nightmare!

We've had a couple of cats that are serious hunters. Ricky (the one in my avatar) loves to prowl around our wood pile. He's brought us several mice and a couple of moles. He eyeballs the squirrels but hasn't attempted to catch one that I know of.
One cat we had many years ago brought a Luna Moth into the house one time. That caused quite a commotion with the other cats in the middle of the night. It took a few minutes to figure out what was going on once DH and I woke up. We thought they'd all gone nuts until we spotted the moth. It was huge! DH got it back outside but Sadie (who caught it) was not happy with us releasing his play toy back into the wild.

The usual stuff. A pigeon once (I don't know how he got it through the cat flap!) And most memorably, a goldfish that was obviously from someone's ornamental pond. I'd gone for a nap and was woken by DH going 'he's killed someone's fish!'.

A couple weeks ago I found a very large, very dead, rat right under my lemon tree. I guess they were too lazy to leave it in the patio. My old cat once brought in a live bird that proceeded to fly around the house. That was fun.

My parents received a headless rabbit (under the dining room table). I think that was the end of the cat door. This happens fairly often on my dog Facebook group. Poor bunnies nest where the dogs (and cats) find them I've been very lucky and none of my dogs have given me any gifts either. My puppy is still puppy enough that even when he steals something good in the house, he RUNS right to me and lays at my feet to enjoy his goods. Which of course means I take them away since his run lets me know he's up to something and then he's right there in reach Goofy pup

We have 4 indoor only cats and they are not present givers but will take strings, ribbons, pens, etc. if they can.
Our neighbor has two outside only kitties that we love to pieces. We keep food and water on our front porch for them. It is in a tote that is turned on it's side to keep the food and kitties protected some what while they eat. The male kitty is a gorgeous long haired chocolately brown boy. And he is an amazing hunter. Last year I lost track of the tiny moles he gave to me. And I am pretty certain that he decimated the mole population around here. So far this year, he has only brought one mole. But he has given me a squirrel, several small birds and a robin yesterday. He is so proud of his furry little self. LOL!!

We have 2 indoor cats so one would think we wouldn't get live presents. But just this week one of our cats brought in a live bird. The only thing we can think is that the bird came in through a window in the garage and he caught it in there. Then he brought it in through the cat door from the garage. We've also gotten small lizards and crickets. All from the garage which is where the litter box is located.
