It was discontinued many, many years ago and I miss it so much!!! It was my signature scent. Looking for an alternative to this. Any suggestions.

Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey. (Yellow perfume frosted bottle - not the pink one)
This is my favourite and I always get compliments. A female co-worker said to me last week she knew I was in the building because she could smell me! She felt a little weird after being so candid but said she really loves my perfume.
ETA - In reference to the strong perfume thread - I have asked and made sure it is not too strong or offensive to others. I am sensitive to that.
It is a bummer when our favourite gets discontinued. Good luck with your search

I was going to say Ralph Lauren Safari but it looks like it has been relaunched. The other one I really miss is Montana by Claude Montana (the one with the twisty bottle in the blue box)

I can empathize with you, I don't use perfumes but my favorite brands of yoga pants, tank tops, and bras were discontinued. I am still searching for replacements

I totally get the not getting over it. The scent I miss most is one my husband used: "Of a Man" aftershave balm by Body Shop. Oh, I just loved that on him.

I can't get Giorggio Red in Canada anymore. I loved that fragrance. Lou Lou by Cacherel isn't available here either. I loved Kenzo's first fragrance. I had it but it went bad and got rid of it. I miss it because it smelled so good on me! *Sigh*. They are gone...

I'm sorry that something you love has been discontinued.
And I missed the thread about strong perfume, but I will just throw it out there as someone with severe allergies, if I told someone that I knew they were in the building because I could smell them, it would not have been a compliment. It would have been a nice way of saying, "The oxygen has been sucked out of my lungs by the trail your perfume is leaving."
Being near someone for short period of time and smelling their perfume is hard enough for me, but if there was a lingering of their perfume it would cause breathing problems for me. There are some live flowers/plants/bushes that I can't stand near because of the way it affects my breathing.
I don't mean that you shouldn't wear perfume; it's your choice. I'm just offering another point of view.

I would have said get over it but then i saw the perfume you were referring to and i got a little sad. That was probably the best perfume ever created. It was also my signature scent. I stocked up on shower gel and perfume when I heard it was discontinued but it wasn't enough and I also really miss it.
I wear a variety of Jo Malone scents (orange blossom, peony moss and pomegranate noir are my favorites) or Philosophy Amazing Grace which I also love, but I don't think any fragrance can top Perfect Black Dress.

Oh, just reread your post.. You were referring to White Dress which I also liked but Black Dress was my favorite.

My signature scent is Jessica McClintock, so far it hasn't been discontinued, but it can be difficult to find. I actually found a bottle on clearance at Walmart for $13 and snapped it up!
The one I miss is Pure Moment by Alfred Sung. They still make Pure (last time I checked, anyway) but Pure Moment was a lighter, more floral version and I loved it!

I've been wearing Marc Jacobs Daisy this summer. I'm not really a "signature scent" person but I like this one.

I would definitely check out the perfumes by Marc Jacobs. Also check out scents by Jo Malone and Bobbi Brown. It sounds like you prefer light fruity or floral scents, and II think any of those lines I mentioned might have something you'd like.

I'm such an traditionalist that I've ALWAYS loved Chanel No.5. I did start using Christian Dior Addict a few years ago and get so many compliments on it...mostly from men! It IS addicting, but I hate the name. Another "old" fave of mine is Fracas. I can't wear "spicy" scents...just florals.

So, only because it's a perfume you like it's OK to be upset? Hey, lots of us are attached to our perfumes! It seems every fragrance I fall in love with falls to the wayside. On a positive note, if they get enough complaints from customers, they may bring it back. That's what happened with my Fig & Cassis by Thymes. It was a very happy day for me when they e-mailed me that they were going to make it again. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the same happens for you.

Unfortunately, I've had a couple of my favorite products discontinued; it's always challenging & time-consuming to find a replacement! My favorite fragrances are Prada - Amber & Body Shop - White Musk. Hope you find a scent you love!

It would have been a nice way of saying, "The oxygen has been sucked out of my lungs by the trail your perfume is leaving." I appreciate your point of view. It is a small office, I did not stink up an entire building. Perhaps I should have phrased it differently. As I said, I am sensitive to the fact that not everybody appreciates perfume (I have read enough 2peas posts about this topic). She meant it as a compliment and I have asked many colleagues, her included, to make sure it is not overpowering. We have shared many details of our lives and are completely honest with each other - all have said it is very light and unoffensive.

I miss Dh's Ralph Lauren Silver Romance. It smelled so good on him, he told me his female coworkers commented on it. You know, maybe it's a good thing they don't make that anymore!

I really miss the perfume called Tuxedo. I loved that scent and always got compliments when wearing it. Sad that it went away.

Crisis averted! I cleaned out my make up and hair drawer in my bedroom and FOUND my Kenzo by Kenzo and it wasn't off. OMG I am going to sleep well tonight.
Yes I get excited over simple things.
