Hello Peas!
I'm not happy with any of my lipsticks lately. I love lipgloss and lipstick but I find that they fade so fast. I have a big event coming up and want to find a lipstick (and/or good quality gloss) that is not drying and also won't fade too fast.
Any recommendations? I don't care too much about the price - I want quality!

I've had really good luck with the Buxom Full-On Lipstick, and the Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencils.

MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick (color Saint Germain). It's all I wear. LOVE the stuff. It lasts, and it's bright pink which is my FAV!  |

I love lipstick and lip gloss. Name a brand and I've probably tried it. The ones I use the most right now are my Mac Cremesheen lipsticks, my Bobbi Brown Creamy Lip Colors, and my Clinique Chubby Sticks.

I rarely wear lipstick, but when I do I use a lip liner in the place of lipstick. It's the only thing that doesn't wear off as quickly on me.

My staple that I've worn for a couple decades is MAC Twig. I also like its dupes (which I've purchased at Target or a drugstore when traveling & forgetting/misplacing/running out of lipstick) - Maybelline Touch of Spice, NYX B52, & Rimmel Kate 104. I find the Maybelline Touch of Spice is the longest wearing & matte of the bunch; I recommend exfoliation & lip balm for smooth application & appearance for hours! HTH

My new favorite is Laura Geller Love Me Dew lip crayon. The color lasts forever and it's not drying or sticky. Love it!

My favorites are Givency Rouge Interdit (I wear voluptuous nude) and Buxom Full On lipstick and gloss (I wear several shades). Both are available at Sephora.

I am a lipstick junkie but switched to Blistex Lip Vibrance this winter. Love it! It has good staying power and is a really pretty pink. It's more like a tinted lip butter, has spf15 and a handy little mirror on the end.

My favorite "splurge" one is YSL Rouge Volupte. My favorite day-to-day is Bobbi Brown. Both of them are very wearable... Not heavy or plastic-y. In a lower price point, Burt's Bees Lip Crayons are good.
For a trendy matte lip, I don't think anything compares to Kat Von D's Everlasting Liquid Lipstick.
If you want something more sheer, I like Clinique's Chubby Sticks.

I don't just love I ADORE a line called Lipstick Queen. You can find it at Ulta and here www.lipstickqueen.com I never used to be able to wear lipstick because I have very dry skin and lips, until I found this brand. What is different about this brand is that they are so moisturizing that they feel and act like a balm, but at the same time act and stain like a lipstick. There are many different lipsticks to try but the ones I've tried have Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Aloe Vera and Vitamins C and B or a combination of these depending on which lipstick it is. I've tried Butterfly Ball which has Aloe Vera and Vitamins E, C and B, Hello Sailor which has Vitamin E in it, Medieval with Vitamin E in it, and my current favorite Frog Prince which has Shea Butter and Vitamin E and so far is the most moisturizing. It's even better than most of the lip balms on the market. I really love these lipsticks! Debbie in MD. |

Love Nars too. But lately I've been loving on Marc Jacobs Lip Creme. It's such a good feeling on your lips and lasts forever. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is my favourite shade. I get it at Sephora.

I really love the brand Bite, you can buy it at Sephora, long lasting, pigmented and smells great. Also makes your lips really soft. Pricey, but really pigmented and lasts a long time.
My favorite lip product is from Fresh, it's their line of sugar lip products plus it has SPF. I use this as a primer to make my lips smooth and soft and then add lipstick. You can buy this mini-trio from Sephora. I always have one of these in my bag! |
