Everyone chose the same option.
The u-turn strategy was well thought out.

It was a very strategic move that I would have never thought about. They are very smart racers. I'll be happy if either of the top two teams win.

DH can't stand Tyler and Korey (??). He hates that goofy laugh. lol. I am rooting for Burnie and Ashley. I like Cole and his mom better now than I did at the beginning.

Well the heading says spoilers, so I'm going to talk about what happened...if you don't want spoilers then don't read on...
Personally I'm not a fan of the U-turn, I'd rather teams get through on their own abilities rather than someone else being in control of what happens to them. I also wouldn't use it if I was in the lead....I'd just keep going and let those at the back sort it out. However it is a part of the game and for purely strategic reasons it was definitely the smartest move and it was also very quick and insightful for the second team to follow up on what K&T did.
I was surprised no-one picked the seaweed challenge, it sounded much easier than carrying coconuts and most of those teams did at least 10 trips vs (from what we saw) two trips for the seaweed and they got to stand around in the water. Seems like that would have been a better option than all that running.
As much as I didn't like their constant shouting at every challenge I appreciated that B&T were gracious in defect and kept up a positive attitude.
My least favourite person is Dana, but Matt seems nice enough, so at this point I think K&T or B&A are mostly likely to win and I'd be happy for either of them, I agree that Mum & Cole have grown on me a little, but was sheer dumb luck via two non elimination legs that kept them in, it wasn't their own abilities, so I'm less in favour of them winning.

I can just say and save myself a lot of typing. Dana gets on my last nerve and I wish she would go. "Shut up! Just shut up!" ugh. And running across that bridge with just one chicken and one coconut? give me a break. And also... in these threads -- Survivor, Amazing Race, a few others -- the thread title always says "SPOILERS" or some version of that, so why do people tiptoe around and try to avoid saying names or anything really about the episode? If it says "spoilers" then you can say what you want.

If it says "spoilers" then you can say what you want. I think there is sometimes some confusion about what sort of spoilers are OK. If it is a weekly show and the show has aired and the heading says spoilers then I think it's fair game to post anything that has happened *and aired* up to now. However personally I don't want to know anything that may occur in future unaired episodes. So if someone has some inside knowledge or has been to a spoiler site, I don't want to know what happens next week or in the final, I don't think that's in the spirit of the episode spoiler discussions. I was a little thrown by the OP putting spoilers and then still hiding the spoiler for this show, so I just wanted to be clear that I was going to name names...lol.

I live on the East Coast and TAR is on from 8-9 pm. I put general stuff in my post but use the spoiler feature just in case someone in a later time zone doesn't want to know the actual final finish. Simply being polite.

Simply being polite. But anyone who doesn't want to know shouldn't be opening the thread at all. If it says "spoilers" in the title I mean. So I don't see any need for the spoiler feature. But I do agree about future spoilers, like if someone is on a site that gives the names of who will be voted off next week, or who is medevaced, stuff like that. If I see "spoiler" in the title along with an episode date (like you did in this thread) then my assumption is that there will be spoilers about that week's episode only, not future ones.

I think at the end of this episode Brodie and Kurt were so pissed at themselves for wasting that Express Pass the way they did! Can you just imagine? Pjaye-I was also very surprised that no one else picked the seaweed challenge. Carrying coconuts isn't easy and can you imagine doing it in that heat, over a swinging bridge with no tools-like a basket or something to put them in? If I was there I was thinking I'd try using some of my clothing as a tool-like a shirt to fashion a sling with (to hold the coconuts in) and an tank underneath that was okay to walk around in. I wonder if they had rules that forbid that? You are right, that seaweed challenge looked much easier, a bit faster and at least you'd be cooler for sure! I personally am a fan of U-turns because it adds tension to the race and therefore fun to the race. I was glad Brodie and Kurt got U-turned because although Kurt was very nice, Brodie was cocky and that irritated me. You can win first place more than once and not let it get to your head and act that way-look at Tyler and Corey. In this instance it made sense to U-turn Brodie and Kurt because they were such a strong team and they were running behind. This was probably the one and only time to get them out of the race. I do agree that it was good to see that Brodie and Kurt were gracious when leaving. Gale W-it's funny that your DH hates Tyler and Korey's laugh. I think it's Tyler's laugh, but I get them both mixed up all of the time. Anyway, I think it's funny because I love that laugh I have loved this team from the beginning because they seem to have such fun on the race no matter where they are or what challenge they are undertaking. I really like Bernie and Ashley too. They respect and care for each other so much. Totally unlike the way Dana treats Matt. Oh my gosh! I cannot stand this girl! Whine, whine, whine. And then she'll pick on Matt a bit more for good measure. I'd love to see them eliminated next week. Poor Matt. I sure hope when he watches this footage he really sees how badly she treats him. If either Bernie or Ashley or better yet Tyler or Korey wins I'm happy. Debbie in MD.

I wondered the same thing about why they weren't using their shirts to carry the coconuts. It must have not been allowed.

My 5 yeear old noted that Dana was nicer to the chickens than to Matt. (Or in his words "The black shirt lady is mean." (he refers to everyone by what they wear.) She is only nice to the chicken.")
I was shocked that no one chose the seaweed. All I could think was that after that brutal road block last leg with hauling the water up the hill, they were all a little nervous about another similar sounding challenge. For me, when I hear "navigating a busy road" i think "uh-oh!" and then they added both dealing with animals AND suspension bridge and I was definitely out!
I always feel like if you can avoid using the u-turn the first time it shows up, you should, just in case you really need it later. BUT, since they opted to use it, at least both teams worked well together (yet apart0 to make it worth it. I was pretty darn impressed by that strategy and I can imagine that the other teams who were not involved in it all were elated to be so.

Oh, yes, I was confused as to why they didn't use their shirts for the coconuts, too. Although I think I may have heard something about "by hand", so did that mean they had to carry them with no form of assistance at all? Also, i got a kick out of Burnie bemoaning that the "ugly" guide must have had a day off at the roadblock. I really like how Burnie & Ashley work with one another and interact with the other teams. And I got a laugh about him joking over the good looking guy helping her stretch.
