I miss my mother so much. I was looking at her chair tonight and miss seeing her pretend to eat her dinner. We used to eat dinner together every single night. Some nights aren't so bad and taking into account she didn't live with us for 10 months previously, tonight is NOT one of those happier nights. I may have lost something of hers that has significant family and monetary value. It is her ring and I sometimes wear it as she always said it would be mine some day. I had hoped to give it to DS to give to his future wife, maybe, as an engagement/wedding ring. It is very beautiful but modern and would be perfect for a future fiancee. (if they choose to get married). I can't find the ring. I am so angry at myself and it is 11:30 pm and I can't see well enough to look for it. That's the problem. I can tear the car apart during the day, but I can't see outside at night and I am too far away from the house. If it does turn up and I am going to pray so hard tonight that it does, it is going into the safe and never to be seen again until DS needs/wants it. I am good having enjoyed it, worrying about it is too much for me.

I think your mom would want you to enjoy it, not stick it in a safe! You'll find it in the morning. Then you might want to get it sized better--if it just fell off--there's a little metal bar that can be put on a too large ring that will size it down without altering the ring itself. If you laid it down after taking it off, go buy a couple of those ring holders--keep on in the kitchen, if you take it off in the car, put it in your wallet, have a little box or jewellery box in you bedroom. Ring holderI broke mine, but I used to have a Cobalt glass lemon reamer that sat on my kitchen sink window that I'd put my rings in. (it wasn't expensive like this one) I want my nieces to have my rings after I'm gone. I'd rather them wear and enjoy them and lose them than never ever wear them out of fear.

I'm so sorry, that sucks. I lost a piece of jewelry a long time ago that had a lot of sentimental value to me and it still bothers me. I hope you find it! If not, don't beat yourself up, these things happen to everyone. If it does, I agree with M in Carolina, your mother wanted you to enjoy it.

I hope you find the ring. If not, your mother would not want you to beat yourself up over it.

Hope you slept on it and you dreamt of where it was. That happens to me often when I've misplaced something.

I am in a full blown panic attack about this. I was going to go out for a walk and I couldn't make it up the street. I am so sick about this.
I know if I have a dream about a snake it will turn up. I know it will because something lost always turns up if I dream about a snake. I just haven't dreamed it yet. Maybe tonight?
