Older lady and her man hate the four new ladies.
The man tried to pull the pompom off one of the new ladies. Older lady pecks and grumbles at them constantly.
The older couple live in the mansion the younger ladies live in a run down shack . So they are separated. But sometimes they all get to run around without boundaries
Yes, they are my chickens and the duck! It is like being in a schoolyard. The older chicken and duck are horribly mean to the young chicks. And I think older chicken has stopped laying because of them.
What have you done to keep the peace?

The older chicken and duck are horribly mean to the young chicks. That is why I hate chickens! Mean little peckers! I was also chased by a duck once too. Wish I could help, but chickens are a big reason I could never be vegetarian!

Do the bullies need some activity to keep themselves busy? I know they make toys for chickens so they don't get bored and lazy.

in all seriousness, if you want to bring the old lady down a few pegs, separate her from the others for about a week then put her back in. She'll be down at the bottom of the totem pole again.

At one point we had some of the chickens with the poufs and they were horribly picked on by the others. We ended up having to rehome them with people who had more of that breed. It was pretty sad because they were really friendly. Here are some other things you can try. Hang a head of lettuce in their coop just out of their reach so they have to jump up and work for it. It will keep them preoccupied and tire them out so they're less likely to beat up on the new girls. You can also put some brushy branches in their coop or yard to give the new ones more places to hide. Good luck, I hated it when our chickens were being mean!

How old are the new ones? If they are younger than point of lay, they won't be able to stand up for themselves. Can you temporarily rig up a bit of chicken wire to keep them apart, but still able to eyeball each other. Sprinkle corn along the bottom so that they get used to to eating together.
Alternatively. Put additional feed bowls so that the aggressors can't prevent them from eating, and branches for them to jump up on to escape.
They say that if you intervene to keep the peace, things will improve in three weeks, and that if you leave them to get on with it, peace will break out in 21 days.
If one hen is drawing blood, I always remove that one for a week or so.
