One item we've put together for beloved people that are leaving is a small Snapfish book with memories, words of appreciation, and comments from those that have worked with the person. Everyone emails their comments to the coordinator by a certain date, they design the book and then have it printed. It is always well received, meaningful, and doesn't feel over the top to the recipient in ter.s of it being flashy. If you have photos of the team, the work you do, clients, etc you could add those in too, but even just with words it is very touching.

I would like to agree that is a great idea. Notes of appreciate from people and their thoughts are priceless. If you don't have time or money for that, a small note book with a page for each person to actually more than a couple words would be great. Or if he has something quirky that he used all the time. When I left one job where I was the accountant signed checks, the got a special pen that I used all the time and attached it to a fishing weight so I would never lose it and no one would take it. Then they each signed it. I still use it 20 years later.
