Crap. Not good news for me, I eat frozen fruits and veggies every day in a green smoothie. One of the reasons I posted the information is that a good portion are organic and sold under something like 40 plus different brand names, including store brands. I am pretty liberal with food, but listeria is not something to mess about with.

Yes, they have expanded the list greatly since the first announcement! I had a bag of trader joe green beans in my freezer, being pregnant this is not something I want to mess with.

Well, now I know why I couldn't find peas at Trader Joe's today! That's some long list.

Thanks for posting this. Thankfully my store brand isn't on there, but there are a lot of Walmart brands which would make it really widespread. I hope that there are no more cases of listeria from this. Scary stuff.

Goodness, that's quite a long list of stores/brand names! And it goes back to 2014? Thanks for posting, OP- I need to check my freezer.

A side note:
The store that carries some of this product, has for dirt cheap! A long as you watch the codes it should be fine!

Holy cow that's a long list. I hope I didn't miss anything. We buy our veggies at Costco.

Holy cow that's a long list. I hope I didn't miss anything. We buy our veggies at Costco. There is a Costco item on the list too. I tend to buy frozen items from Costco and Trader Joes. I am also thinking about how many restaurants use frozen fruit or vegetables in what they serve. How many smoothies were made from the tainted frozen organic fruits? Last summer, my renter accidentally left my garage freezer door ajar. I don't know how long it was open, but there was a nasty goopy liquid on the cement underneath the freezer. I was extremely upset because it was fully stocked, predominantly with fruit and vegetables and a few meat items. My biggest loss was all the fruit and herbs that I grew and dehydrated myself. And all the raisins that my mom and I dehydrated. Just wondering if perhaps his forgetful action saved us from a nasty and potentially fatal illness. Things always happen for a reason, but I couldn't come up with a positive one for that mess. Until now. At least it makes me feel better about the huge hassle of cleaning it and the monetary loss.

I got an email, phone call and text message - all in the span of one hour - from Costco about the recall.
I mean, I'm glad they are proactive, but that may have been a little excessive.

Well, now I know why I couldn't find peas at Trader Joe's today! That's some long list. that's exactly what I said when I got to the check stand at TJ's and they had a notice about their affected products. It is intersting how many brands are impacted.

I also saw a recall today about sunflower seeds... which also affected a TJ's kale salad, a bunch of trail mixes, granola bars and chocolates, among other things. I'll see if I can find that and link it, while we're talking about food recalls. link to list - more recalls for possible listeria contamination
more (this one is only sunflower seeds)I'd recommend everyone check the list even if you don't eat sunflower seeds because it looks like it includes a lot of things like almonds, pecans, etc that aren't sunflower seeds but presumably were processed in the same facility with the contaminated sunflower seeds.

What annoys me is that costco has good enough records to know that I purchased something. but not good enough to tell me exactly what or to just refund me. No I have to go through the list and my freezer, figure out what I bought and then bring it in. I know they bank on the fact that people aren't going to go through the hassle. So annoying!

And I had just been there the day before but hadn't bought anything that fit the criteria, so it was annoying me. I checked my freezers anyway, and it turns out it's an old bag of organic frozen peas -- right brand for the recall, serial numbers don't match. But I think I'll toss them anyway since they're old.

I took back three bags of opened veggies to Costco today. They did not even say much. I think they have had a lot come back.
