I was at an antique store today and saw some Snoopy colorforms, which reminded me of a set I had as a kid, which reminded me of another set I had (Cabbage Patch Kids) which reminded me of these puzzles I had at my Grandma's house. There were 3 puzzles, they were the kind in a frame and they were these kids in some kind of candy world. Kind of like Strawberry Shortcake crossed with Cabbage Patch kids crossed with Candyland. Googling has not helped so far.
Do you have any 80's toys and games you can't remember the name of?

Colorforms were the best! I had the snoopy one with the big doghouse as the picture.
I loved fashion plates. I liked the idea of shrinks dinks but was never able to do anything cool with them like the commercial. Shocker.
Little People were great, as well as the Barbie stuff. My friends had the Barbie houses and camper. I had the case that turned into a bedroom.

It was like Colorforms, but instead of cling they were rubons. I have been trying for years to remember the name.
eta ~ Oh my gosh. I just Googled and was able to find them. Presto Magix. I've been Googling for years!

I've been Googling for years! I had the Mickey Mouse Colorforms when I was a kid, and a little over a year ago I bought myself a perfect vintage set on eBay. They came bundled with two other vintage Mickey Colorforms sets and a set of the Shrinky Dinks. I remember the rub-ons, I'm sure I had those too when I was little.

I pretty much loved all toys of the 80s and 90s - especially dolls.
I looked for years and finally found out what my favorite was called. A sparklin. It was a pet of the pj sparkles doll.
I also really loved magic nursery dolls, magic bottle baby, crimp n curl and sunbathing cabbage patch dolls, the heart family and smooshies/keepers. I still have all of the above I believe and probably everything else I owned as a child. Unfortunately it seems it can never be found when I ask where it is for my child.

I had some sort of dough set where the dough was edible. It was softer then playdough and only came in brown- chocolate, pink-strawberry and yellow-vanilla. It had a plastic mat that had some sort of scene in yellow and brown, maybe a checkered floor and a wall to resemble the inside of a house? I remember a man face, so it might have come with cookie cutters. I swear I can almost smell and taste the dough. It actually was edible, which is probably why it was not a very successful toy. It was not just playdough I was eating, I was more of a paste girl. Ha! Any one remember this?

Chinese Jacks! In elementary school we used them as markers for hop scotch! If you had a cool marker you were the shit!

My bestie had a game called Full House and it was about a hotel. I forget the rest. We played this game all the time. She must have been so bored with me wanting to play it.
Does anyone remember it? I was Full House and there was a priest as one of the guests maybe? I can't remember back 35 years.

Colorforms were the best! I loved the fact that there would unlimited possibles to make pictures.
I had this generic glow in the dark haunted house one and a Peewee's Play House one that I remember.
Some of my favorite toys that weren't mentioned yet were Alphie, Questron books system ( did anyone have those? They were a little similar to Leap pad ) ,castle blocks, and Labyrinth the board game.

She was like a giant Barbie and you could twist the top of her head to change her hair from blonde to brunette. Creepy now that I think about it. LOL

I had her penthouse, too. It had a spiral staircase to the rooftop patio. I also had a Barbie-like doll named Darci whose arms and legs could bend. She was taller than Barbie, though, so they couldn't share clothes.

I had no idea what colorforms were, I googled. I still am not sure, but the smurf set looks vaguely familiar. I might have had that.
I was a pretty big tomboy, but I did have a cabbage patch kid, but my favorite toys were my football, my chinese jumprope and my kickball. I always wanted my own bases, but usually settled for towels in the grass.

This is the one I had Girls World looking at it now it was a bit creepy. I think this is where my interest in make up stems from though.

I had the Suntan Tuesday Taylor!!! The one that had a black and white bikini (I think) and when you had her in the sun for a while (maybe 10 mins or so) she went darker!!! SO not a good example !

I was obsessed with my Speak & Spell as well as Monchichis. Monchichis means happiness. Lol.
Now I'm going to to have that jingle running through my head.

I always wanted my own bases, but usually settled for towels in the grass. Colorforms were these thin opaque colored vinyl pieces that were diecut into shapes and they came with a glossy cardboard insert in the box that the vinyl pieces would stick to. Initially they were just primary colors and basic shapes but eventually they had printed ones that went with a themed set. I had the Raggedy Ann set twice as a kid because some of the small pieces got lost. The board had a printed Raggedy Ann in her bloomers and striped stockings and the Colorforms pieces were her dress, apron, bows for her hair, flowers, etc. that came in different colors. I also had a Mickey Mouse set and not sure if we had a Snoopy set too but we probably did. All that stuff is considered collectible now.

I like Rainbow Brite. I still have a stuffed Lurky.
I had a doll called Mandy. I got it Christmas 1978 and the clothes were so dated (leisure suit!). My mom made more and they are all still in a box in the attic.
I got most of my toys in the late 70s: weeble wobbles, Lego space and city sets, the Snoopy Macy's gave away one Christmas, Kenner pop up tree house...

Colorforms were so much fun. Like MerryMom I played with them in the 60's, but also the very early 70's. I had paper dolls up the wazoo. I loved those things. I'm always fascinated when I see a vintage toy collection on tv. So cool.
