I bought a Canon 60D a few months back but sadly I've barely even used it. This week I brought it with me on vacation and I'm clicking away when I notice that it's not holding the settings. For example, I want to shoot RAW, it keeps changing it back to large jpegs. I changed the ISO to 100, it changed it back to auto. I want to pick the focus point, it keeps putting it back to auto! WTF?? What's going on? My old Rebel xti held the settings no matter what!

What mode are you shooting in (on the dial)? My guess would be the dial is set to auto because it shouldn't behave like that on tv, av, or manual.

I could have sworn it was on AV but apparently it was on C... All is good now.

I hate it when I get mine accidentally moved to the wrong mode and suddenly it isn't working right. btdt. Glad it was an easy fix.

Yeah, you're not kidding! I rarely take it off of AV so I have no idea how that happened! Just glad it's working properly now! Thanks for responding !
