Have you ever bought a refurbished phone from Groupon?

I bought a used unlocked Samsung 6S Verizon phone from a local independent cell phone store. My carrier is AT&T. The networks are different and cause problems with the phone. I have issues with texts. My text split in two text conversations and I have a hard time receiving images. They don't download. My caller ID doesn't work because the phone is unlocked international. So the phone side has issues. The apps, internet, and camera work fine. I found the network incompatibility to be the biggest problem.

Phones usually last two years and I have had the phone a year. I paid $269 I give it about 6 months and I will by a new phone.

I bought my daughter a used apple phone about 9 months ago and she seems to be ok. I made sure it was the same network. Teenagers are so rough on their phones, I didn't want to pay full price.


My lessons learned is pay attention to the network compatability.
