Hi,Peas,
Just in case you missed the news, Shimelle Laine has a new class going called The Scrapbook Process. The class is lasting all month but can be taken at any time. She is featuring her process for three albums: her round-the-world trip, her Olympic experience, and a family album. She has a video each day plus a pdf. I have picked-up so much good info and great tips about organizing albums, managing photos, layout strategies, etc.

I am really enjoying this so far too. I had begun work on an album showcasing a cruise we took over last Christmas, but was getting bogged down in piles of photos. Now I have all LOs planned, sketches and other ideas printed, and paper chosen. All I have to do now is cut and stick!

I caved and signed up last week. I was really on the fence about it as I have already done cover to cover and wasn't sure what I'd get from this class (even though I know she said they were different). So far I'm really enjoying it and am feeling energized to tackle an older vacation album that is about 80% complete but got pushed aside for newer and shinier projects.

I am really enjoying her new class too. It has inspired me to finish an older album now that I have some ideas on how to blend styles.

So I'm interested in signing up for Shimelle's new class, the Scrapbooking Process, and I went to her link, and then I went to online classes, but I don't see the new class anywhere. What the heck am I missing. Can someone also tell me how much this class is? I see all the other classes but not that one, help please

Not it wasn't weird....it took a lot of searching for it. I think her site is very difficult to navigate. I can never find my actual classes easily. It would be much better if they linked from the main page I think. Goodness how I found it today...but I did!!!

I just signed up for Shimelle's new class but now I'm not sure how to access it. I know in the past we had to wait for an email from her is that still the process?

I'm glad to hear it's a good class! I've never taken an online scrapbook class before, but I love Shimelle and her Glitter Girl videos and so I was considering this to be my first one. Thanks for giving your thoughts!

I've been waiting for over a week for the email. Sent her an email and still no response. Disappointed! Yes -- we've been waiting a while for the "final" video also. I saw on some Instagram post that she had been ill but expected to be back in full force today. WE can hope!

Final email went out and it contained 2 new videos. I know it was late, but still it was great! This was by far the best class I have taken, jam packed with videos, info and ideas!

I have taken quite a few of Shimelle's classes. Is this class good for someone who is a veteran of her classes? I have watched all of the GG videos, too. I am on the fence because I spend too much on classes. But, it's a class from Shimelle.... You know?

I am on the fence because I spend too much on classes. But, it's a class from Shimelle.... You know? I personally LOVED this class. It was PACKED with videos, PDFs, sketches and info. I would venture to say this was her best class ever. I was so inspired after taking it that I have gone back to my long forgotten wedding album and started making layouts for it again...so far I have 5 new ones with many more planned. I suppose it depends what you are looking for in a class, but I really think she covers things she hasn't covered before: things like how to get back into an album you have left for awhile and some real strategies for working on different sorts of albums. In some ways it is similar to Cover to Cover but much more in depth and with lots more information. It has lots of process videos as well as videos about how to do various things related to sort albums, kits etc. Save

I was also on the fence about taking this class but I signed up and really enjoyed it. I kind of skimmed through the pdfs and watched all the videos while the class was live and have now started going back through them again. I'm getting more from it on this second pass. Like impearia I've been inspired to pull out an older project and work on it and I've gained some great ideas on how to better tackle future projects, especially vacation albums where I tend to try to include every last photo and end up with way too many albums.
For me the best parts of this class were the tactics she shared for planning and working on albums that are pre-planned or partially planned (her backpacking and Olympics albums), especially where these are older projects that have been pushed aside.

I do have projects that have stalled: our Yellowstone trip, an album about our first dog, school albums for the kids, Halloween costume album...
And although we've been married 28 years, I still haven't started our wedding album!
Maybe it WOULD be worth the money to take this class!
Thanks for your responses!
