I am thinking of buying a collapsible sports wagon but would like to hear from others whether you like yours or not. In the past, DD was still in the stroller so we could load things up in there. We had our first baseball tournament today and it was a huge pain to carry three chairs, my big bag with drinks, snacks and so on, blankets (because it was freezing today), etc. DH is coaching one of the teams so we usually have to split up for games, which leaves me carrying most of the stuff since I have the oldest (carrying his baseball bag) and the younger two.
So, if you have a sports wagon, do you find it annoying and a hassle, or do you love it?

Yes, that is the style I am talking about. Should have posted a photo. . I would love if I could just add retractable wheels to my 31 large utility tote. Lol

I have one I bought at Costco with beach wheels, it's pretty genius but it's bigger than is like it to be folded up, takes up a lot of trunk space.

We have one...actually we are on our 2nd one, we wore the first one out. We use it quite often. In the one we have which is the MAC that is in the first link, the wheels are independent of the handle. So it can make it a little bit difficult to handle, but once you are used to it it's not a big deal.

I have the Mac wagon that Voltagain linked above. My friend and I each bought one after seeing someone use one to tote all of their scrapping stuff to a crop at CKC last summer. I haven't used mine much yet but I'm finding it handy. My friend loves hers so much that she bought a second one for her office, and they use it all the time to tote brochures, samples, etc. to offsite events.

Would I be able to put everything in the wagon and then stack the chairs on top or would it be too bulky?

Would I be able to put everything in the wagon and then stack the chairs on top or would it be too bulky? I think it might be awkward to maneuver the wagon if you stacked chairs on top of a full load, but weight-wise it should be fine.

The beach wagon someone mentioned above is far and away better than the MAC wagon linked above. We have both. The MAC wagon has a mind of its own. The beach wagon is better on uneven terrain and is much sturdier. We load it up and throw chairs on top all the time. My mom also has the beach wagon and is looking to sell it, but you don't live anywhere near me!

Parking lot, a tall stack will pull fine. Going over uneven terrain can be a bit harder it is to control the stack and keep things from sliding off. The more uneven the ground the harder it is. A few bungie cords might help getting your stuff to a playing field. The Ozark will hold up to 250 pounds of stuff.

We have three. We keep one in the garage and it is pretty dirty. We use it for planting and yard work. I keep one in my SUV and my husband uses his for the boat at the lake. All three are different brands, but they work exactly the same way other than the handle.

Odd question, but do any of these have seat belts for transporting kids or the option to add them?

Odd question, but do any of these have seat belts for transporting kids or the option to add them? No, and most of them expressly say NOT to transport children in them. There are many pinch points that could take off small fingers. There are some made with seating for kids but they don't have much space for gear.

We don't have a wagon like the above, but have the Radio Flyer rough terrain wagon (with inflatable wheels and wooden sides that remove). I bought it when my youngest was ready to not use a stroller, but was still pretty young. We used it at the zoo and parades and the such when they were young. In the years since, we use it to haul mulch, picnic goods, beach stuff, and even our 80 lb lab when she got to arthritic to go on family walks. My youngest is 17 now and I've used it at least twice this month.

Thanks. I like the look of that wagon. I'm looking for something for my tall 7 year old that is about 60 pounds. It looks like that wouldn't work.

I have the MAC wagon linked above. Actually I've bought 2 and need one more. The first one I bought for myself but my daughter in college took it. Its great for moving in and out of the dorm, carrying groceries, etc. She loves it!
The second one I bought is the one I use at school in my classroom. Its a life saver! Last summer I used it at the beach and it worked great to carry the chairs, cooler, towels, and snacks.
I need one to keep in my Jeep. Last weekend I went to a flea market and I could have loaded that wagon up!
When my kids were younger and playing sports it would have made my life so much easier.

While I am sure the prohibitions on mine are to keep fingers from being pinched or a small (18 months to 3 year old) from falling out I would think most 7 year olds could sit in either the Mac or Ozark without needing a seat belt. Unless he is special needs and not mature enough to understand he needs to remaining seated and keep his fingers away from the hinge points.

We have the Ozark. We use it for sport tournaments. We pack everything in and bungee cord the bagged chairs to the top. It holds s lot. I also use it when I scrapbook away from home.

If he is 7, does he need a seat belt? Yes, he has low functioning Autism.
